LOL. Even though another woman is going to replace her.
Hell, it doesn't matter to them. They say they want equality for women and all that, but that's only when they agree with them politically. Equality with asterisks.LOL. Even though another woman is going to replace her.
Sad thing is theme parks are probably fairly safe. People are just caught up in the excessive virus panic
They should have just scheduled daily protests thereSad thing is theme parks are probably fairly safe. People are just caught up in the excessive virus panic
Hopefully it lays off the employees responsible for the plan to change Splash Mountain.
They're changing splash mountain?Hopefully it lays off the employees responsible for the plan to change Splash Mountain.
They call it "reimagining" but yeah, they are. They're changing splash mountain?
Yeah, it's racist they say. They're changing splash mountain?
Man that sucks.Yeah, it's racist they say.
They are completely eliminating all existing theming and changing it to a Princess and the Frog ride.... with a drop.
A drop that only makes sense for the "throw the rabbit in the briar" moment in Splash Mountain, but hey, social justice and all.
I'm gonna get real for a moment.... I am hurt by it. That ride was a massive, massive memory from my childhood. I LOVED it.
I wanted to take my kids on that ride. I might get a chance to sneak my oldest, my son, before it closes.
The entirety is Disney World is changed for me because of this.
The movie it's based on portrays (apparently negative) racial stereotypes.Man that sucks.
In what way is splash mountain racist? Or is it part of the Everything is Racist fallacy?
What's the film? The movie it's based on portrays (apparently negative) racial stereotypes.
But no one is even really saying the ride itself is bad - just the underlying film, I guess they don't like attention called to.
Song of the South. What's the film?
Anything portraying black people in the South pre-1960 is racist; unless the media in question is somehow also villifying white people at the same time.Song of the South was a Disney movie about a character called Uncle Remus who is black and he gained a friend ship with a young boy as I remember. He also told stories to the boy about animal characters that were humanized. I barley remember the movie but I don’t know what the uproar is about. The character was essentially the way it was back in the day and subsequently changed a great deal of the stereo typing . I had some songs in it that are classic today.
