Voting by mail is safe and secure and also waaaaay more convenient... except we've never pushed it on a massive scale before now because reasons.

I get (don't agree, but understand) the reasoning for voting by mail if it's, "it's incredibly flawed and ripe for corruption but necessary due to a major virus ravaging the countryside so we'll have to make do".

But don't lie to me and pretend it's safe and secure and no different than voting in person. The postal service has been around for 250 years. If it was safe and secure it would already be the default method of voting considering it's also much, much more convenient.

As an aside since I can't leave the other point alone, we've been slowly opening back up, we've been holding rallies, going on vacation, protesting, rioting, looting, going to restaurants and grocery stores, women are getting their hair and nails done, going to school in the building in some cases, on and on. And yet the virus isn't any worse than its peak in April and May. WE CAN VOTE IN PERSON. IT'S GOD DAMN IMPORTANT.

Yes and there was a report last week that Ted Cruz would be on Trumps list as a replacement.

He already declined, I think we need him “in politics”.

Mitch McConnell already said he would ram a SCOTUS selection through.

The question is, will he get the votes?

Thats not happening.

You need to nominate a woman. A black woman if you can find a strong enough conservative one.

Make it impossible for the Dems to Kavanaugh her.

They’re going to try and fast track a SCOTUS. Unless they think an open seat will help him.

If he wins, omg. Justice Thomas could be replaced at some point, too.

Damn.

Condeleeza Rice is the only name that comes to mind.

And Breyer is 82.

Just saying.

Of course you have to realize the danger here too. Democrats could refuse to play by the 200+ year old rules because they are sore losers and introduce legislation to pack the courts next time they have the congress and presidency.

It was 5-4 yesterday. If RBG is replaced now it’s 6-3. If Breyer is replaced it’s 7-2 and if Thomas is replaced it’s 7-2 for quite some time.

That kind of lead will encourage very bad behavior among Dems. All kinds of pouting and saying it’s not fair and trying to cheat.

I will say, this is how you get your iron clad decision on semi automatic rifles though. With a 6-3 lead.

They're going to do that regardless.

And as someone said... If the Dems had the Senate and Presidency, do you think they'd wait until after the election?

It's 46 days until the election, RBG's confirmation took 50 and I'm pretty sure hers was the shortest ever

They are already talking about making PR and DC states so the gloves are already off
