Roy's decline coincided with the beginning of his relationship with Kelly Rowland.

Sure, the only concern would be that he devolves into mid/late-career Roy, which I don't think is really a valid concern at all.
I'm just talking about playing style and big play impact around the LOS. Roy was very good at that early in his career. In years 1-3, Roy was probably better in the secondary than Adams as well.

I forgot about that. Grown men mad at a member of Destiny's Child for breaking our guy's heart. :lol

I actually like her sister Kourtney more. Not Khloe
I don't care for that family at all, but Kourtney is fine as hell.

He has all the good qualities that Roy had (physicality around the LOS, blitzing, tackling, big hits, etc.) but really none of the weaknesses (laziness, completely unaware in coverage, fat/slow once he became complacent). Given how competitive Adams is it's almost impossible for me to think he goes the way of Roy, who more or less just got lazy/complacent and stopped caring about football.
You can see the difference in energy immediately, not just comparing with Roy but vs. most highly thought of safeties. Adams is an alpha predator who energizes his teammates and consistently backs it up.

Roy needed Darren Woodson to literally cover for him, and his game went south the moment Woody left. Remember we were supposed to get all excited because Roy suddenly learned how to cover wheel routes in the mid-2000's?

Adams is the total package from the get go. All the physicality combined with strong knowledge of the game and instincts.

He can do anything the DC wants. Gregg Williams is an aggressive DC, so you saw Adams blow up the LOS in 2019, but that's not his whole game.

You could say Jamal Adams should shut the fuck up because you’re being paid millions.

But a big part of me doesn’t blame him for being an asshole to get out of a dysfunctional environment. Give him benefit of doubt once. After that - now you’re TO.

When has sticking with a losing franchise panned out better for one’s career? Barry Sanders retired early cuz of it Maybe Joe Thomas as well. All the losing Larry Fitz has had to endure. Archie Manning PTSD off his NO experience to force the Eli SD-NYG trade.

The Seahawks are definitely drunk and I think desperate to reclaim some of the glory of their defenses of 6-8 years ago.

I can see how they think Adams could do that since he's basically a Kam Chancellor who can cover, but without their fans this season their defense can't possibly be as intimidating as it once was and the further we get from the trade the more their roster will deteriorate.

Yeah, "12" is no more, at least not this year.

In Dallas, will we notice the crowds are gone?

My initial instinct was to post that Garrett will still practice the silent count, but then I remembered......

Adams for one first round pick would have been a lot like the Cooper deal. But two would be unacceptable for almost any non QB.

We learned the hard way with Joey Galloway, even if the player is good it’s just way too much invested.

For a WR like that to make an impact, you needed a QB who wasn’t on his last legs and an offensive line that wasn’t a shadow of its former self.

Adams needs a defensive line to take on blocks, good corners to cover while he attacks, plus an offense that makes all his efforts worthwhile.

And he has to stay healthy and effective— just too many things have to fall into place for the trade to make an impact relative to the two first rounders
Didn’t we waste a couple on Roy Williams the WR as well?

A 1st and 3rd is what we gave for that Roy.
