I’ve heard of literally ONE white person being shot and killed by a police officer in the last 2-3 years. It's an ugly truth but to answer your question, as far as the rate of black people getting killed by police, it is a crime thing, more than anything.
Black people commit violent crime at a much higher rate than any other group; white, hispanic, asian, middle eastern, ect.
There is the belief that severe poverty has lead to much of that crime which is certainly valid.
A good conversation could be had about the root cause of that said poverty, however.
But as far as whether police shootings have an overwhelming racial bias element, it certainly isn't backed by the numbers, IMO.
Is that more evidence of the media creating a narrative they can cash in on?
