Then look at his career QB rating. Which is awful.
Most fans would take him over Rush. That's the only comparison being made.
Again, because people assume just because a guy has seen a football field he is good. I've always prefered the unknown to the guy I know will lose games.
Most fans don't have any idea who Cooper Rush is because most fans don't watch preseason.
I don't think that's entirely accurate. He 'did well' in his first preseason here, and then like every other backup quarterback, he proceeded to somehow get worse rather than better the longer he was here. The only thing he did well enough last year was to be not as bad as Mike White.
I don't take particular comfort in the unknown.
You currently want to think Rush is somehow good enough because he hasn't.
Then cut Rush and keep the rookie.
Also something I'm totally comfortable with. Hell give me the option of an unknown with more physical talent and I'm down to see what happens.

I know it's hard to believe the guy has been our backup 3 years and never played a meaningful snap but he has. Don't take this as me liking the guy. I just think people are dumb to want more Brad Johnson's brought in here to backup like it helps the team in any way.
I've seen 'Colt fucking McCoy' have pretty good games against my Cowboys. I've never seen Cooper Rush come anywhere close.
Fair enough. I thought he played poorly enough in preseason year two to be cut, but the team kept him around. But there are several vets I'd sign over him.
I don't see anyone campaigning FOR Brad Johnson, but AGAINST Cooper Rush.
I don't care one way or the other with Cooper, just not sure why people have seemed to develop such a strong dislike of the guy. And hell I wanted White to beat him out but the competition wasn't even close.
