In the last week I’ve learned that 75% of my customers believe they and parts of their immediate family all had coronavirus in either Nov/Dec/Jan.

No tests to back it up, but nearly every customer that offers up that idea, they all say the same thing, “yeah, we all had it already.”.

Like they know they had it. That kinda seems outrageous to me. Not sure why it bothers me.
So it didn’t start in China?

let me say my goodbyes while I still can

If the virus could penetrate though under and outer wear and get into the atmosphere then what good would a mask do? I suppose if one were in a configuration of close proximity and nude it could be a long shot plausible circumstance but the odds are better if one is sitting bare assed on the pot.

Because an actual medical mask is designed of different material than cotton. Designed to filter out particles, whereas your tighty whities are not.

Yes but you don’t go up and down the street with just your underwear. Your outer garments are pretty thick and for the most part dense.

I think a shutdown was needed, better safe than sorry, but this may have been an all-time overreaction when all is said and done.

And I get it, it’s easy to say that now, if you agree, and it’s not a bad thing if it’s true.
People will claim the shutdown is why it never got bad but that's bad use of statics.

No doubt. But at some point we’re going to know exactly how deadly the virus is. At some point there will be an understanding of the virus. If we see that 50,000,000 people had it at one time or another in the US, and we saw 50k deaths, I’d think the overreaction arguememt would stand by itself.

It is indeed. I don’t know how people were making the claims they were stating if they didn’t even know what the mortality/survival rate is. It was easy enough to state the elderly and those with maladies were the likely candidates for death because that statement holds up to just about every medical situation.

And they are made from materials that are not the same as a medical grade mask, too. A material DESIGNED to filter out certain particles.

This is a stupid argument. If you want to continue it, be my guest. I'm out.

What would you expect. It is a stupid premise.

Whats a stupid premise is the people I see at stores with masks on but leave their nose uncovered. Whats the damn point.
That isn’t the point at all. I was saying that if (as the article implied) a corona virus could penetrate through underwire and Outer clothing by way of passing gas in the form of a fart, then it could probably also penetrate most face masks. So if it is that forceful why wear a mask because even the surgeon general says that two layers of a cloth will protect but that wouldn’t be the case if this passing gas theory was correct.

You inferring that shutdowns had zero effect? Or that the effect will be overstated, saving millions of lives as opposed to more likely 10,000s?
What I'm saying is you can't look at the shutdown and claim any sort of correlation or causation with the death numbers. To do that implies a controlled environment. There are many other factors and no good control group to base it off. But I'm sure many politicians and Liberals will point to the low death numbers and say "see, what we did worked!!!" When in reality it may not have done much.

Unfortunately, with us Americans already fatigued from this quarantine, we’ll likely resist another quarantine if another supposed deadly virus was unleashed.

We’re more vulnerable for terrorists if they really want to wreck havoc.
What if Germ warefare is the new weapon of choice for terrorist?
