You clearly have no idea how employment law works. It will be a waste of money. Anyone can be terminated as long as the are given reasonable notification and it doesn’t violate a contractual agreement. That’s the rule of thumb.
Oh Mollie, whoever the fuck you are, the Constitution doesn't stop the Federal Government from helping the states when a state of disaster has been declared. Trump is absolutely blame shifting to the State Governors. Well, at least the Blue State governors.
Come on, man. Don't be purposefully ignorant. 15-20% of infected end up needing to be hospitalized. 5% end up in the ICU and 3% end up dead. That is 20 times worse than the flu and this thing is like 4 times easier to transmit. When you say it's just the same as the flu, you are factually incorrect. I realize you have some political axe to grind but the reason we are doing what we are doing is to prevent the death of millions.Somewhat lost in all tihis is the recovery rate which is around 97% or a little less and this is without a serum or vaccination or successfully proven medication. Imagine what the recovery rate would be if the research that will follow was in place now.
As it currently stands it is about the same as the influenza viruses. None are good but I am still not convinced that this reaction is more due to the over politicization of the situation than is necessary to combat the actual condition. People are dying but every year people die from similar situations and this isn’t the first to come out of the country of China. The most affected groups are essentially the same and the first line of combatants is the same.
Agree with this completely.
thats a good one for someone who's not familiar with guns, the spread is wide and pretty easy to hit your target. You might check it to see if there is a plug in it that limits the number of shells. I haven't been hunting in years, last time it was a maximum of 5 shells so I took my plug out and I think I get 10+By the way, I bought my first firearm today. Never felt the need to have one in my whole life but this shit has me worried. A friend let me borrow his shotgun, he's got lots of guns. Everything is sold out in Dallas. I finally was able to mail order one through Cabella's. Had to buy a much more expensive one than I needed but it looks cool.
Ended up getting a semi-auto shotgun. Pump action were nearly impossible to find. Figure that should be fine for a guy who hasn't shot a gun since I was a teenager with my father.
Before you become so judgmental, have you actually done a comparative of the Covid 19 statistics with the historic influenza outbreaks? That would be a good place to start because you are coming from a personal experience that is actually unprecedented as to how viruses have been dealt with heretofore. This is the first time ever that a virus has gotten this type of hype and political bantering. The extraordinary activity is as much of that as anything.Come on, man. Could we be smarter about it? Sure. But we are distributing decisions to a bazillions local fiefdoms who are all making their own decisions based on an evil concoction of political expediency and slapdash pseudo-science. Simply put, we are bad at this and the leadership is utterly lacking at nearly all levels of government. The sad thing is, when we analyze what we did right and what we did wrong, science will take a backseat and whatever party is in power is going to use it to pillory the other party. Further, the parties will twist the analysis to prove opposite approaches for the next time. Shitshow.
And you obviously do not know that I have had many hours of schooling and seminars on employee relations and legal guidelines. Do a bit of googling and see what the law firms say about it.You clearly have no idea how employment law works.
So here is a scenario. You're a 65 year old with a breathing conditioner. You're at high risk with the virus. You get terminated after not working during the virus. You believe you were terminated because the health problems made you a high risk in addition to your age and health condition during these times. You'd potentially have good cause for wrongful termination. But there is a federal law about age discrimination. That suffices as a contract because uncle says so.
As someone who has done employment discrimination lawsuits I'd say your off base. Although I will say everyone who is fired thinks they have a case even though they usually don't.And you obviously do not know that I have had many hours of schooling and seminars on employee relations and legal guidelines. Do a bit of googling and see what the law firms say about it.
We haven't even gotten that far. The only thing we have talked about putting in place is disinfecting the vehicles on our SafeRide and Employee shuttles and signs in the vehicles stating the vehicles have been sanitized. Outside of that we don't have any plans at all of what we are going to do when this is all over.@Iamtdg
Are you planning for changes to transportation when students return?
Something like “1 student per row but double the frequency of shuttles”, Max 50% occupancy per shuttle, mandatory face masks for riders, mandatory pump of Hand sanitizer as you board...
Free market, baby!I’m keeping my place open for takeout only for the rest of 2020.
Not as of this morning. My neighbor said his Trump bucks showed up yesterday. Anyone else get it yet?
Good lord... no, he is not.Oh Mollie, whoever the fuck you are, the Constitution doesn't stop the Federal Government from helping the states when a state of disaster has been declared. Trump is absolutely blame shifting to the State Governors. Well, at least the Blue State governors.
