Based on the money handed out, i’m assuming not much. Though I certainly don’t agree with us not being more aggressive in FA, and there have been far too many guys who would have filled a need that signed elsewhere for decent money, we can still address any of those positions in the draft.

I know, not much of a silver lining, but I am trying.
After the 'ready to win now' talk in the offseason, I expected a more aggressive approach to free agency. But it seems more like maintaining the status quo than going for it.

you know better by now than to expect wholesale philosophical changes with this organization. It was a minor miracle we got rid of Garrett finally. You know Jerry wanted badly to keep him.

Lots of conflicting reports out there. Fisher and Werder say "No" and Moore and another guy say "Yes". Somebody's going to be wrong.
If everybody jumps on a side someone will get to claim they were right and that they have real inside sources. While the half that were wrong will just try their luck again next time. It's kind of sad and it makes trusting any reports very difficult.

If Dix was such a good not great player why has he been on so many teams in such few years, that's because he's trash

Jerry needs to start drinking the clear Kool-Aid again, he made better decisions when he did. Drinking Ensure has fucked him up

Until today, I had no idea Lawrence was a latter day Charles Haley who "opened things up" for his teammates.

He had half a sack in his last eight games, but it's nice to know he was contributing in other ways.
Best $20 million a year we've ever spent. But he's supposedly great against the run though. (except when mobile quarterbacks are running around his side of the field).

If the gulf between McCarty and Garrett is as vast as has been argued, then the roster as it stands TODAY, barring serious injury, wins 2+ more games than last year’s team did. Never mind after we continue to make free agent acquisitions and the draft.

Don’t get fucking chicken and start backpedaling because of this yearly free agency “the sky is falling” bonanza.
I won't speak for anyone else but I still feel extremely confident in McCarthy and this new coaching staff being able to guide next year's team to a 10+ win season.

I've always pointed out how important coaching is in this parity driven league. The talent on most teams are very similar. Therefore, a good coaching staff and proper game management is often the different between 6-10 and 10-6. So with McCarthy being >>>> Garrett, I'll comfortably bet that this team finishes 2020 with 10 wins or more.

I'll second that. I've already been on record in saying that even if they re-signed just Prescott and Cooper that I feel this is a 10-win team with better coaching.

Having said that, I would like to see a bit more than just those two and keeping the role players.

You guys can take this for what it's worth or not, but a friend of mine said that they're trying hard to sign former Packers DT Mike Daniels and are in contact. The holdup, as with all players, is the money. Daniels is still looking for more than the Cowboys are willing to pay. But they're still talking and trying to work it out. So keep that name in the back of your mind.
