Yeah that's actually great.Per Spotrac, the Jarwin contract is way more palatable than has been reported.

Exactly the kind of deal what a decent front office would have ready to at least tempt Cooper with. If nothing else, fuck over the Cowboys' salary cap.Yep and now a team with bad recievers and a boat load of cap space can throw their hat in the ring.
I just hope they design things to his skill set. He is not an in-line blocker. Get it out to him where he has space.I like that the Jarwin signing all but guarantees the man more playing time.
It's utterly ridiculous that Witten was in so many pass patterns over Jarwin given the difference in impact downfield.
I do have faith McCarthy will do this, even as shitty as Jerry and son have handled free agency so far at least we are rid of Garrett's stubbornnessI just hope they design things to his skill set. He is not an in-line blocker. Get it out to him where he has space.
Byron Jones to Miami
Per DMN:
Although I have to admit I am interested in seeing if his lack of INTs is the result of the Cowboys scheme or just his inability to make impact plays. He wasn't much of a play maker in college either, so I'm betting the latter.
I love how people who defended his lack of INTs shared "highlight" videos of him doing something benign like batting away a pass in the red zone. That's nice and all but it sure would have been nice if he picked off some of those passes. That way instead of just holding teams to FGs the Cowboys could have held opponents to 0 points on those drives.Per DMN:
He started at both safety and cornerback during his Cowboys tenure before settling into the latter the past two seasons. He carries to Miami a streak of 40 straight games without an interception. With two career picks in 73 starts, he is the first defensive back in NFL history to exceed 70 starts during his first five NFL seasons while recording fewer than five interceptions.
In the same 5 years, Jeff Heath had 7 interceptions...I can’t understand why it’s so hard for anyone not named Jeff Heath to intercept passes with any regularity on this defense.
It has to be the scheme, doesn’t it?
I just hope they design things to his skill set. He is not an in-line blocker. Get it out to him where he has space.
The silver lining!I do have faith McCarthy will do this, even as shitty as Jerry and son have handled free agency so far at least we are rid of Garrett's stubbornness
