Actually shouldnt be surprised by our fans but I am....
I think sometimes he recieved extra attention which is why Gallup usually went off in those games. It's why it's so important to have two stud recievers. That way your not forcing things to a guy double covered.Amari disappeared in crucial stretches. I wasn’t prepared for that, and I didn’t understand it. He insisted he wasn’t hurt , but he was completely negated in key games
I'm glad MM is getting to pick his own guys, I don't care how well anybody on the previous staff appeared to be doing. Jerry letting him make sure he has a unified vision from the new staff is bigOBJ is vastly more talented. Think he would be worth the headache but it's not going to happen so it's a Moo point.
Real question is wtf would you go with this guy as the WR coach when you could just keep Sanjay Lal. He was doing a good job. Don't really think the Browns WR coach is killing it...
This is a downgrade. Boo.
Plus I think we need to get the stink of the old staff out of there. You don't want guys still trying to do the Garrett way. Moore as a young coach is still moldable. Plus it keeps some continuity for Dak.I'm glad MM is getting to pick his own guys, I don't care how well anybody on the previous staff appeared to be doing. OBJ has better hands but I think Cooper is a far more reliable route runner.OBJ is vastly more talented. Think he would be worth the headache but it's not going to happen so it's a Moo point.

Yep, this is not a big deal and I love seeing even more evidence Jerry has no influence on these hiresI think Lal is a good coach. He did an excellent job bringing Gallup along. If McCarthy had wanted to keep him I would have had no problem. I also think the new WR coach is pretty good. So I'm not worried.
Plus OBJ has too much AB in him, just look at his handing out cash to college players stuntOBJ has better hands but I think Cooper is a far more reliable route runner.
I agree about the stink of the old admin and I agree about MM getting his own guys. But this guy has no real connection to MM that I can see and is coming from an even more inept place. While it's not the biggest thing I just think getting rid of a good coach for a JAG ain't great.Plus I think we need to get the stink of the old staff out of there. Full disclosure though I think Lal is a good coach. He did an excellent job bringing Gallup along. If McCarthy had wanted to keep him I would have had no problem. I also think the new WR coach is pretty good. So I'm not worried.
OBJ isn't a team player. His personality is more like that of Dez. We don't need divas like that. Cooper is a perfect fit with Dak. He lets Dak go out there and actually read a defense instead of forcing the ball to him 15 times in double coverage.Plus OBJ has too much AB in him, just look at his handing out cash to college players stunt
I mean Henry is the coach who helped Landry and OBJ develop into the receivers they are known to be. His resume isn't exactly JAG type stuff.I agree about the stink of the old admin and I agree about MM getting his own guys. But this guy has no real connection to MM that I can see and is coming from an even more inept place. While it's not the biggest thing I just think getting rid of a good coach for a JAG ain't great.
And even then, its risky. Jones tested as a physical freak, and by the metrics, he is good in coverage.I wouldn't draft a DB who isn't putting up at least 2 INT's per year in college. It's a crude measurement but I only want ball hawks in the secondary.
You rarely see guys who put up 1 or 2 total INT's over 3-4 years in college come to the NFL and miraculously turn into ballhawks. Jalen Ramsey is about the only example I can think of and he's a rare physical freak.
I wasn't anti-Lal, and it could just be perception, but the drops this year seemed ridiculously high, and it never really seemed to improve.Plus I think we need to get the stink of the old staff out of there. Yeah I mean the dude had 8 picks over 4 seasons at UConn. He was basically a 2 pick a year guy at a smaller school. He wasn't a ballhawk then and going against more talented guys has decreased his picks even more. And even then, its risky. Jones tested as a physical freak, and by the metrics, he is good in coverage.
But cannot intercept a ball to save his life.
