I'd be pretty happy with a McCarthy hire. it'd be interesting to see what kind of staff he could pull together.

He would definitely need a good DC, but that shouldn't be all that difficult to find.

We still don't know for sure if he comes back in a FO role, though. That's the only reason I'm not dancing just yet.
Jerry could also say we looked around and no one was better than Garrett and bring him back. I put nothing past these hillbilly fucks

Remember when the Bengals fired Lewis and then changed their minds?

Marvin Lewis has a more impressive resume than Garrett.
Maybe so but the Rooney rule probably came into play also. I don’t think he was being Considered seriously for a HC job in Dallas.

Man, he really got burned and buried on his way out of Green Bay with the massages over meetings story, etc.

That said, he’s a pretty comparable candidate to Sean Payton, record-wise.

Don't let booze or anyone fool you, McCarthy would be a fantastic hire.
"Fantastic"?

Dude, get a hold of yourself.

I would have to be talked into this fatso by how his staff is composed.

I don't see a fit. We just paid Elliott which means we better run the ball to get our money's worth.

Show me where that fits McCarthy. He is about as run-adverse as anyone.

There was an article posted last offseason about the dysfunction with him. I am too lazy to look it up, but it wasn't good.
