Mike Fisher was going off on the culture here today, said the only 2 guys mad after the game were Bennett and Quinn and Jaylon was smiling and joking wearing his furcoat

Jimmy Johnson: 'Everyone would be miserable' if Jason Garrett remains Cowboys head coach

No no and just no to McDaniels. I understand he’s coached alongside greatness but I don’t think he’s ever going to be a top tier HC in this league.

F McDaniels. Don't like how he did Indy. Shows the type of person that he is.

A professional team in Dallas just fired its head coach.

It was the Dallas Stars.

I'd take McDaniels in an instant, and given that the Patriots might be headed for a big time shake up with Brady starting to trail off and maybe even leave/retire, it may not be out of the realm of possibility.
Agreed....
I'm a fan of McDaniels. Maybe I'm being stubborn, but I'm just not big on Riley and Meyer. I just don't think it's wise to bring in the college types. McDaniels is a proven NFL success.

How so? He failed as a head coach last time. The only thing he has done is rode the coat tails of Brady. And work under an all time great head coach.

Yeah I’m not getting the McDaniels love. He got caught video taping the 49’ers , ran Cutler out of town, benched Marshall, about sold his soul to get Tebow let alone drafted him 4 rounds early, and had a terrible W/L record when he got fired.
Isn’t there enough dysfunction with Jerry right now? Why take on more?

This really got me thinking about the ripple effect of us making the playoffs vs. not. To me it all hinges on this Rams game, if we beat them we're probably looking at 8-8 at least with the Skins being the other win, so why not just beat the Eagles and make the playoffs?

If we end up 8-8 we're probably looking at a pick around 18 vs. 21 if we win the division, which doesn't make much difference.

On the other hand, if we lose to the Rams, we're looking at either winning the division at 8-8 or missing the playoffs at 7-9 or even 6-10 if we completely tank it in the season finale. In that scenario we'd be looking at picking somewhere around 10-13 vs. 21, which is pretty significant.

We've done a great job drafting over the last 8 or so years and I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that picking at, say, 12 as opposed to 21 could be the difference between going 9-7 or 10-6 next year vs. 12-4.

Cant say it enough. F McDaniels.

The fact that Smitty liked him at one time should tell you to stay away...

Im all for draft positioning at this point. Playoffs are great if you truly have a chance to win , but winning a loser division does nothing for me. It just delays the inevitable. We're changing coaches regardless, and I would like to be able to add significant talent to this roster that was pretty overevaluated and/or underperforming in my mind. I think that 6 or 7 wins equals draft position victory.
