Garrett is the Golden Retriever who lies quietly by the fire at night. Well-behaved, docile, low maintenance. Wins the division, a playoff game here and there, enough to keep Jerry happy.

David Shaw
Dabo Swinney

probably a lot of other guys Ive never heard of too

and see if any of them blew me away

If we can get a real offensive mind in at head coach and pair him with a good veteran defensive coordinator I think we would be in perfect position to make a jump. The defensive coordinator with Riley would be pretty important. Not sure who will be available yet.

He can stay on the top of the heap for a while at OU and if he came to a place like Dallas he would be under constant scrutiny and contention. Faced with that decision I believe I would opt to stay put.

No thanks to that turd Josh McDaniels. He was a trainwreck in Denver and then pulled an absolutely shitpile move on the Colts. I am not even sure he's an average coach, I think Belichick tells him exactly what to do and he does it that way.

I don't think Shaw or Dabo are ever leaving college football.

Most great college coaches try their hand in the NFL at some point. And why not? If they fail they land jobs like Alabama when they go back to college football. No doubt Oklahoma is a cush job right now. But like all great competitors, coaches want to prove they can do it against the best. Maybe Riley is the exception who prefers to never see if he can do it at the highest level. But odds are some NFL team will lure him away eventually.
