One of the posters I miss most was a guy that I ended up connected with on FB. His username was something like McGoofy or Mcsomething. He was funny as hell.

Pretty sure you are off on the timeline of the sbk blow up and the HITR reveal(here).

When I showed up, I’m guessing somewhere around 2007ish, somewhere in there, the running HITR joke had already been introduced. When I joined here, some guys were rubbing me and saying I was a Midswat alt. That went on for a while, then shortly after Rant passed away, there was a blowup by sbk where he started deleting the board.

The HITR stuff happened some time before the sbk melt down.

You have always had less of a deal with "trolls". I have maintained this for a very very long time. A board needs trolls. If not, it becomes a bunch of like minded people nodding in unison.
