No it's true but most guys you pay 2 years early at least take something decent. The good news is Zeke shouldn't get another contract from us. Assuming he doesn't decide to hold out again.
Tell me what year do you think he holds out again.

I seriously doubt he holds out again but if he does it will be one of the later years. It would be more feasible to drop him at that time. Jerry was irritated and there could even be some out clause written in that we dont know about.

Just try and enjoy a functioning offense going forward.

If it's true that the guarantees are about 30ish million, that's closer to Bell I believe.
Try 50 mill guaranteed. That's the only part of this that I think is dumb. With how he has acted off the field, you would think that number would have been lower in case the team wanted to cut bait.

I'm secretly rooting for a TO-esque press conference with Zeke recreating this scene.

Funny to fault the guy who's been the workhorse for the last few years when the QB who's rode his coattails is looking for $35+ a year.

I'm not faulting Zeke. He should take as much money as he can from them. I'm faulting the team because Zeke can't seem to stay out of trouble, and guaranteeing 50 mill is a lot for a person like that.

If you want that Cadillac in the driveway, you gotta pay the cost.

Maybe Jerry will STFU about upcoming contracts.

It's funny how Goff just signed his deal and you never really heard anything about it before-hand, same way with Wentz.

This is all a circus because Barnum wants it so.

I can't blame Jerry on this one. Zeke made it a curcus. Jaylon, Collins, Dak and Cooper aren't a circus.

Speaking contracts in public makes it a circus, you hardly ever see other teams doing it at the level these clowns do.

I agree, it's a bad look. But the Falcons have done it with Julio and no circus ensued because he shows up for work.

I am starting to believe that Jones liked the publicity and circus that this was.

And, here he is today.

I'm almost surprised it took this long for someone to put the screws to Jerry. We all know Jerry loves paying, and overpaying, the stars he drafts or trades for because it makes him look more like the football man he wants to be. Cooper could do the exact same thing and so could Dak.

No grudges.

Just pointing out what I said from day one of this holdout. Zeke was going to get huge new contract.

You always point out that it's a business, but failed to realize that holding out is part of the NFL business landscape.

I said from the start he would probably get the big contract also, I just didn’t agree with the way he went about doing it. To me breaching your contract isn’t a business approach its virtually extortion but I also know all the arguments being posed for using this method.
