For all the greatness that is Tony Romo, he has one wildcard win in his career and multiple late game choke jobs. But if it makes you feel better, keep clinging to the blind hope that it isn't his fault and the 'next' time will be different.
Romo is one team member.

I've seen plenty of people, including you, who keep blaming someone other than Tony for his late INT. I know you want to believe in him and that things will be different. But he is what he is.
I'm not blaming anybody. Just talking about what actually happened during that play, instead of just coughing out some idiocy about choking and triple coverage.

I've said numerous times in this thread and others that Romo has choked. Has made stupid decisions. I just don't think this was one of them. Not enough to strap on the rubber helmet and start stomping around spraying drool like some are choosing to do. At least try to make some kind of coherent argument. Myself and others have said why the throw came out the way it did. You haven't once tried refuting any of that, instead just pumping out the same stupidity.

Feels like a political thread.

:lol

You do realize that is well after the ball was thrown, right? The guy on the right is already on the ground with the ball. The other two have had a couple seconds to react to the ball.

No, I really doubt that you do.

:lol

As an aside, the Broncos pretty much get away with murder. Romo was absolutely right about the clutching and grabbing from their secondary. They called it once, I think, but they could have called it about ten times. And how do they not call the pick plays?
I feel like we have been on the losing end of bad penalty calls (or non-calls) all season.

My dad is a bit of a conspiracy theorist and thinks the refs pick on Dallas and for a couple years now I've had to argue with him like "you make your own luck" and "everyone has bad penalties" but this season so far it's ridiculously out of hand.

It's completely open season on our DLs, they don't call a damn thing.

Not one punt from Denver yesterday.

Fucking Romo.
They are all to blame but like it or not the QB gets all or none of the glory. I expected a bad day from the defense because Peyton could be considered to be the GOAT. What we get from Romo in these type of situations is exactly what we got yesterday. That's his career in a nutshell. F Romo.

Ok, so an honest question and not just a jab at you cause you're a Garrett apologist. But, why is he the only coach that we never even see converse with the refs? No getting clarification on calls, no yelling and getting animated when he thinks his team is getting jobbed, not lobbying for calls. Nothing.

Disagree on both counts, but I applaud you for actually having a legit argument other than LOLZCHOKER!!!!!!1111!!!LICK!!!!!

But yeah Romo was pimping all game, that very same play worked very well earlier, it was open, and would have worked again had Romo not been stepped on. No reason in the world to check down there.
Would it have worked if he hadn't been stepped on?

That was a very tight window.

Most people probably don't remember the perfect game Romo pitched against the Giants in 2011 in Dallas, where despite a flawless performance, and a 12 point lead in the last few minutes of the 4th quarter, the team choked away his efforts that would have clinched them a playoff spot. That's not valid information of course, because it doesn't point to Romo as a choker.
No, they still found a way to hang the loss on Romo. They blamed him for Austin "losing it in the lights".

And yet once again with the game on the line he comes up with a crucial INT. Like clockwork.
Never seen a qb break so many records and hearts at the same time since well favre.

I honestly think Romo's lack of INTs this year is because he's been muzzled til now. We all think he was just bitching out at times over the last few weeks, but I'm starting to think that was the coaches trying to real him in. When they saw how pathetic the O looked that way and knew it was a blowout waiting to happen playing Denver that way, they let Tony go. Now he's back to the gunslinger which is a perfect fantasy player. High stats and TDs downfield, but it also brings back the questionable decision making that made the coaches try and get away from his mentality in the first place. We're basically in a damned if you do, damned if you don't place with Tony. Only real answer is to let him play like he does, take our lumps and then find a legit long term QB in the offseason.
Take a QB in the first if the right one presents itself.

There is no easy answer to that question. It drives me crazy, though. There is definitely a competitive edge to your coach being in the refs ear, and Garrett never ever does it.

I agree. Romo has always been a gunslinger and a poor man's Farve. But being a lesser Farve on a team with lesser talent, we'll just keep getting more of the same.
