This has nothing to do with the game but it made me laugh reading Bayless show his ass.

Bayless is stuck in the 90s. :lol

It is amazing how some fans just latch onto the talent on this team like it is fricking gold.

He just, and I mean just, started taking third team snaps from Nick Stephens. Yeah, that guy.

I admit...I used to do it...back in the Campo days.

OHMIGAWD WE CUT JERMAINE COPELAND!
Way to play to play the "arrogant fuck" card.

Look, I haven't wanted to keep any QB prospect we have EVER had besides Romo and now Tanney. Everyone else was run of the mill and I couldn't care less. Hutch, Henson, mcGee and all the rest of em were garbage.

I don't think Tanney is garbage. He looked sharp. He looked as sharp as Romo did in his first preseason. You have this retarded "well this guys no good cut his ass" that never takes into account the player could, holy shit get this......improve over time.

When you find guys worth developing, then develop them. Isnt that what your always screeching about?

I haven't seen Tanney look particularly better than McGee.

He'd have to keep getting significantly better over the final 2 preseason games to warrant a spot on the roster.

If they put him on waiver, he won't make it through. He is worth a spot for I say. Albrights going to IR. Bell is super fat and slow and needs to go.

I fould pick any number of guys who's spot I'd put Tanney in. There are some scrubb ass players down there. McCray?

We never try to develop QBs but letting this guy Tanney learn behind Romo for 2 or 3 years could pay dividends. Guess you need a guy like Parcells around to have foresight like that though.

I think he's much better than McGee in terms of actually making throws downfield.

McGee threw more checkdowns than Brad Johnson circa 2008.

Once again, Tanney is nothing special.

Do you not realize that the numbers he's putting up are coming against 2nd & 3rd stringers and guys who probably won't be in the league in 3 weeks?

Also, if we want to groom Romo's replacement we'd be better off drafting a 1st or 2nd rounder. The Romos of the league are the very rare exception to the rule.

Look around the league.....I'd say that 95% of the QBs who are considered legit good-great QBs were drafted in rounds 1 & 2.

So what? I agree. Tell me though, whens the last time we drafted a QB in the first round? Aikman? When have we had a high enough pick? The only way this franchise finds a QB is if one falls in its lap.

Sure its a longshot, but what else we got? Tanny can actually throw the ball downfield with at least SOME effectiveness. That makes him better than any qb they have tried to "groom" since matt moore. I say keep Tanney for sure.

Yeah, guess we'll just have to draft a top QB in a draft next year. Or soon anyway. That's a top 3 pick at least. No way in 7 hells that happens.

We will have Manziel next year.

We don't have to have a top 5 pick to find a QB. Quality QBs can be found between the mid-first and 2nd round. Roethlisberger, Flacco, Brees, Kaepernick, and Dalton immediately come to mind.

Raiders have a mortal lock on it.
Clowney or Manziel.

Clowney would be the smart pick but we are talking the Raiders so I could see Manziel going to Oakland; especially if he has another strong year.

I think Tanney is the best QB prospect Dallas has had since Romo. He was astute enough to find open receivers very quickly and delivered the throws above the chest where most receivers have the best control of a catch. He is not quick but he did escape a few situations. I will be interested to seee how he does with better receivers.

Here you were talking about the best odds of finding a franchise QB are top picks and I agree.

You name players like brees etc in the 2nd and 3rdbut the odds of actually hitting on one of those guys is astronomically lower than even a first rounder.

Sure, good ones can be found, but not by this franchise. We pick quincy's and hensons and almost quinns.

So I'm saying when by some miracle a guy comes along that can play a little, is accurate, naturally steps up into the pocket well, etc etc, you keep him. Here. Because our odds of finding a franchise QB by accident are much better than our odds of drafting one.
