Definitely.I want Leary start at one G position regardless of Waters signing.
While I agree with the jist of your comments, veterans like Waters often skip TC by one of many methods including consent of coaching staffs. Dallas isn't alone in this circumstance. Waters is a proven player so knowing that aspect is a given. The primary unknown at this point is his conditioning and attitude. I am of the opinion that you can take a flyer on this situation with a contractual clause that the player has to be on the squad for the entire season and play a specified minimum time to earn 100 percent of his contract pay. I don't like this type of deal but it isn't unheard of with older veterans.I hate this mentality. You should almost never play a guy just to find out about him. The first step in finding out about a guy is practice. If he's not showing up in practice it's retarded to count on him for a real game in any sort of way. And it shouldn't matter where he was drafted. It's stupid to just keep compounding your original mistake. Most of the time you can tell from practice.
I think he was talking about Arkin. Playing him in a real game just to find out what they more than likely already know about him. If he hasn't shown anything in practice or preseason games, why waste time in a came that counts? While I agree with the jist of your comments, veterans like Waters often skip TC by one of many methods including consent of coaching staffs. I am guessing money. He quit the Patriots over money and sat a year.Any ideas as to the money involved? He's taking his time mulling it over, or is just waiting for camp to end maybe?
Maybe he wants more, maybe he doesn't, I can't say for sure.I am guessing money. He quit the Patriots over money and sat a year.
We probably have a Moore type deal on the table and he wants more.
If so....F it. Roll with Bernadeau and pay the price for signing him in the first place.
Yep, I'd rather they just get smarter in the draft process. That's a poor way to build. If you can only find passable OL in the 1st round you are going to have the entire position blown up in just a few years when contracts are due. Besides, the team needs that first rounder to be its marquee pass rusher and/or anchoring DL of the future.
Real translation: I don't want to be embarrassed again like I was when I signed Brandon Moore only to have him fucking retire the next day.I don't want to do anything to cause you to write, ‘Well, he changed his mind.’”
a little friendly f'in with ya..What the hey?

Screw you, Waters....we got Burnadoe!!!!!
Please pardon a old dart.Correct.
I thought on TV they had been saying "Ber-nar-do."
I forgot that's how that guy said his name was pronounced. I've still been calling him Burn-a-dey-oh.
I guess after 12 seasons and his recent success at arriving late in New England he like a lot of veterans feels entitled to miss TC. I know I wouldn't be so anxious to join August two-a-days in North Texas.
Pretty much.....but I think Simp is right.
I think the guy wants to play but doesn't want to go through much of the training camp grind. If he didn't want to play, I'm sure he would've turned the offer down by now.
