But you lose the surprise of Vader being Lukes father which is the driving force of the whole series.
If that means no Jar Jar Binks, you are doing someone a favor showing it that way.

The problem is 1-2-3 are mostly terrible.
It sucked because the first one was about fucking spice trading...not to mention the 2 retards they had to play Anakin and Natalie Portman played her role like a robot.

When you read a book do you start in the middle?
Do you mean all those books where the author wrote and released the last half of the book and then 15 years later went back and decided to write the first half?

I just don't want the old guys to be token drop ins...either have them integral to the movies or kill them off early. I did think it was kind of weird that Han Solo was the one telling them about the force and not a Jedi or someone more familiar with the force.

He watched his friend Luke grow from a country bumpkin into one of the most powerful people in the galaxy. I don't know who would be more qualified

If Luke talked about the Kessel Run I would not be happy. GTFO with this shit.

Maybe on a Jedi message board, he's know as the Force Historian. :unsure

You do if you're reading Star Wars.
No you don't. Just because Lucas decided to make Episode 4 first for whatever reason, the book was written starting with chapter 1 page 1 Episode 1.

And then the entire scene where Vader reveals himself to Luke as his father loses all the emotional response it got from people. I just becomes another scene of dialogue.

Was the Lord of the Rings any good? Did you enjoy it? Do you have to see The Hobbit or Similarrion first to do so? I don't think so.

Okay whatever. I'm tired of discussing it. A question was posed as to how to show it to someone's children and silly me I said start it with the first episode. Everyone can see it as they choose. It was just my preference method. The children probably will be as enthralled with the hidden secrets and all the nuances that adults conjure up. :art

What?

How does Star Wars have anything to do with a book, all of the prequels were written after the 1st set of movies.
Because the first movie made was episode 4 regardless of when it was written. That's three episodes after episode 1. Surely you understand the fundamental number system. Also the storyline chronology begins in episode 1 regardless of when it was written. Holy cow why are you even questioning this? It is a story that was pieced together at different times but eventually organized in a chronological storyline. That's why episode 4 is now the middle of the storyline.

Most of the fan boys just hate episodes 1, 2 and 3. That's why you're getting the hateful reaction.
