Playoffs vs GB, not the debacle in 2013. And I said "We saw a hint of it vs. Green Bay even when DeMarco had 126 yards"

Dallas on critical 3rd and 1 and 4th and 2 plays called a shotgun pass and a near-endzone heave. Murray's fumble shaking confidence may have something to do with the second, but the first was bewildering.

Murray was productive. The run was productive. They even called more runs than passes because of the weather and defensive matchup. But in key situations they got cute and bailed on it.

If they did that with Murray, imagine what they'll do with McFadden or Randle.
We did the short yardage empty backfield shit all season. The only problem with our run-pass balance last year was that we loved telegraphing the play.

What happened to Tate? He was pretty good in Houston. Did he have a bunch of injuries or something? I didn't pay attention to him at all last year.
He went from playing behind a great offensive line to playing behind a shit offensive line. He is a great fit for Dallas though with our scheme and our O-lineman.

I wanted Ben Tate last year, but after the season he just had in Cleveland, I'm MEH on this move.

I guess it couldn't hurt.

However, when I see this....

You got to be fucking kidding me.

So Jerry tells us the running game is going to be better without Murray, but then decides Felix is worth working out.

Oh yea, I'm sure this team just loves its RB corps and this is all just being diligent.

Seems legit.

I seriously doubt Felix would be brought in thinking he'd replace Murray. The RB he'd be competing with would be Dunbar, and if he happened to beat him out, would we really be losing much? Frankly, I'm pretty positive neither of these guys will be on the final 53.

The issue is, if you truly feel comfortable about the RB position, you don't bring in a washed up has-been that hasn't played since 2013 - a 2013 in which he only carried the ball 48 times.

If that doesn't tell you how much confidence this team doesn't have in its RB group, then I'm not sure what will.

It tells me they need cheap camp bodies. Nothing more.

:lol So desperate they are looking at Felix.

But we're idiots for thinking this running back corps is inadequate. :picard

Why don't we sign Chris Johnson and be done with it? At least he showed he has a little left last year.

Of course they aren't totally comfortable with the RB group. Reports are that they were going to draft Duke Johnson at #60 until Gregory fell to them at that spot. That's one of the reasons I am not among the "the Cowboys season is going to fail because of the RB position!!!" crowd…they are on the lookout for players at the position. Ben Tate has the potential to be a nice piece. I also still think a trade is going to happen at some point.

Now, why they would even bother looking at Felix Jones is beyond me. That ship has sailed and it immediately sank into the murky depths. He isn't making the roster. No chance.
