Finished with 32 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists in 24 minutes.

Westbrook>>>>>>>>>>Rose

Very impressive.

Westbrook is definitely better than Rose and probably always will be going forward.

He's had some injury issues too, but at least he tries to play through them.

Nope its only because of Durant and stuff.

I know you're being sarcastic, but I did not think 3 season ago that Westbrook would be THIS good.....he just needs to stay healthy.

Whereas Rose look like a shell of his former self when he plays, Westbrook still comes in and dominates. He's every bit as explosive as Rose if not moreso, but he's a better shooter than Rose and he's certainly more aggressive than him too.

If you could promise me that both guys would be totally healthy going forward and that I could choose either, I'd go with Westbrook.

I am hard on Westbrook, but he is a premier talent. I have gained a ton of respect for him and am secretly rooting for OKC to spoil a top seeds first round.

He can be a bit selfish, but he's a fantastic player who has the type of mentality that you want in big games.

As far as them playing spoiler goes.....they may end up a 7th seed or whatever at the end, but if they are all healthy, this is a top 2 team in the WC so they'd probably be the favorite to win a 1st round series and I don't know if a 6th or 7th seed has ever been favored in the 1st round before.

Thunder fan since the terrible Carlesimo days... And Westbrook has always been a total stud IMO and my favorite player. I could never figure out why people gave him such a bad rap. I guess just because Durant is so popular and near-perfect as a player and person, so someone had to be made out to be the bad guy.

But I always thought the people who trashed him were like the ones who said Romo was a choking loser -- they weren't paying very close attention.

I don't think anyone ever doubted his ability. The criticism stemmed from what looked to be a selfish attitude at times as well as other personality issues.

That may be, but I don't think it's fair to say that Rose looks like a "shell of his former self" when he plays. He missed TWO full years, and is averaging 16 ppg while knocking the rust off. Certainly there is a question of whether he'll ever be back at MVP level (probably not) but I don't think he's a shell. He could easily be an all-star level player again... if he can stay healthy.

Joakim Noah is taking off just as many nights as Rose right now.... only he didn't miss two straight years with serious injuries.... they are clearly on very cautious restrictions.

Going back to the Olympics I thought they were on par with Westbrook being the better defensive guy.

Thunder lose to the Pelicans. They were very sloppy tonight as Westbrook and KD worked their way back into the lineup.

A brutal finish to the 2nd Qtr is what really cost them. Allowed NO to close the qtr on something like a 15-2 run to take a 17 point lead into the half.

Sixers up next so that should be an easy W.

Hate that we couldn't get this one though as we have very little room for error with all the hot teams in the West.

What a fucking Mavs/Bulls game. 2OT. Ellis with like a 50 foot 3 pointer to seal it.

Great game and a great win, and we did it against a Bulls team with a full squad to boot.

I can't say it enough.....what a great acquisition Ellis was.

Those are Derrick Rose's stats per 36 minutes from the MVP year in 2010-11, 2011-12, the 10 games he played before getting injured last year and so far this year, can anyone guess which lines are which?

The last line are the 10 games from last year when he was clearly not himself, his percentages were also ridiculously low as he was shooting only 35% from the field. Can you really tell much of a difference in the other three?

Yea, he's been a bitch sitting out with seemingly minor injuries and he honestly looks a bit awkward at times when I watch him play but more or less he's playing nearly as well as he did before the injury, just in about 8 or so less minutes a game. It's clear that the Bulls are being overly cautious with him, the comments he made were idiotic as well, but can you really blame him or the team for being as cautious as possible 10-15 games into the season?

My only complaint on the floor is that he's been careless with the ball and is turning it over a bit too much, but aside from that he's generally playing as well as you could expect him to after basically 2 years off, and I expect him to improve as the year goes on.

At the end of the day, Butler and Gasol are playing at an All-Star level, Noah is rounding into form and Rose looks to be working himself back to an All-Star level as well. If they stay healthy, a big if, I don't see anybody in the East beating them in the playoffs.

Monta F'ng Ellis!x

:towel
I watched the highlights this morning.....He was huge in the clutch. He might have got away with a travel on the game winner but still a great, tough shot nonetheless.

:lol

Yea, it looked like a travel to me, but oh well.

I'll gladly take it.
