I'd say the same thing. He can't hurt it any worse. Shoot it up and get out there. Run Murray 30 times and throw it 20 with Romo. Weeden is horrid. Fuck it.
If you are a six win team, starting Romo against the Jags is what you don't do if you have an idea of trying to fight for the postseason.

There is a lot of tough football ahead, you said it yourself.

Yet you agree with the most idiotic owner in the game.

Why won't Romo play? If he can go, he'll go.

Huh?

I didn't defend that call.

I just said I think the bigger problem the last two weeks has been getting defenses to back off with the pass.
And you are wrong.

Murray averaged 6 or 7 ypc against Washington. There was no need to get them to back off because they weren't stopping it.

And against Arizona, a smart coach rides the league's leading rusher and takes his chances, rather than the joke of a QB that is Weeden.

Arizona was stopping us a lot better than Washington was. I don't think the situations were equal.

I'd start Romo and take my chances. Can't afford to risk losing 3 in a row imo.

But I'd start I'd start Vaughn before I ever played that loser Weeden again.

Good grief, Ravens have 8 players left from last Super Bowl team and they still have a decent team.

I'd kill for Newsome to run the Cowboys.

Deuce is as much a hater of Romo as I am a homer.
That's not me being a hater. It's well recorded that there were personal issues between the two which caused Orton to not want to be here. Since he's never been a locker room problem previously, something must be there.

Add in the country club atmosphere Jones' favorite boys routinely get in Dallas and it's not a stretch to believe Romo is a bitch.

But hey, I'm just a hater.

While that's true, the alternative to running is to put the game in Weeden's hands. I'd much rather keep chipping away on the ground and see what happens. Hell, Murray averaged 4 ypc against Arizona so it wasn't exactly a disaster when we ran.

Wait, Orton doesn't exactly have a choir boy reputation.

Romo, on the other hand, I don't remember anybody having problems with him. Hell even TO liked him.

I think you have this backward.

When has Romo been a locker room problem?

Yeah, you are stretching like Stretch Armstrong here.

I don't remember Orton being an issue anywhere. He was never cut for being a bad teammate from what I remember.

This. Orton's attitude was a big part of him being benched in Chicago and run out of Denver.

Orton wasnt benched in Chicago, he was traded as part of the Cutler deal. "Getting run out of Denver" was because he got hurt, Tebow took over and took them to the playoffs.

Romo was never cut for being a bad teammate or any other reason so I'm not sure why you think this is a point in Orton's favor.

Meanwhile Orton has a huge partier reputation.

So two QB's supposedly don't get a long, one the entrenched starter making 100+ million and the other brought in as a backup getting much less cash. They play together one season and then the backup doesn't show up to off season workouts and mandatory mini-camp, gets fined, whines about maybe retiring even though he has a year left on his deal and then gets what he wants and gets released. And Romo is the bitch? Whatever.
