Defamation? Hahahlolluzzz!

This conspiracy that you are trying to propose is really funny. James told his daddy lies and his daddy ran with it. He thought Leach had done all of these terrible things to his poor wittle son. Leach was asked to smooth it over but he refused.

I'd love to see who defamed his name though. Please please tell me. Display some evidence, link, video or something of all of this defamation that the administration heaved onto this poor man. There is none. There damn sure wasn't any. Hance only recently really addressed the situation candidly. Even at that he held back. I know you can't produce anything to back up your exaggeration.

Do you seriously believe that the perfect storm happened to where Hance conspired to the point that he trie to get Leach to sign a complete false document because he had it out for him? Does that sound reasonable to you?
So, proposing that he locked an athlete in a kennel in the middle of summer and then making him stand on the sideline while he was hurt when it wasn't true wasn't defamation? I suppose we have extremely different definitions of the word, apparently.

As far as Leach smoothing it over, we go back to being asked to lie about your actions.

Next.

Oh, and yes, I do believe that Hance was waiting to pounce. He saw his opening and dove in full bore.

Wait, Hance or the administration publicly said he did that? Interesting. It's would be cool when you produced the evidence. I think he only recently that he ever publicly made any specific statement. That was pushed by the James family. So your anger is misguided.

If I'm wrong or would be easy to prove. Defamation would be pretty obvious and intentional.

I have said this more times than I would like to, and if we had archives I could just copy and paste, but Hance dissolved entire departments while he was here because of how that department interacted with his office. Many jobs lost and much more money lost concerning internal funds that could have funded many other departments on campus instead of outsourcing that money to fund national chains which lays that money at the corporate's feet instead. He was a scar on the face of the advancement of Texas Tech. He didn't raise money for Tech, his minions did, and the entire time he threw down edicts the actual core of the university crumbled. We have a 50 man shortage in our grounds department. 30 man shortage in our physical plant. 5 engineer shortage in our engineering services department. Printing services completely dissolved and outsourced. All told it's about 10 million a year that goes to someone else besides the University. Yeah, Hance was a good guy that got hired guns to raise money for him and build him a chapel.

You have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to Hance. He has set back my university way more than you think he may have helped. Just don't talk about what you know nothing about. It's embarrassing.

You mean the same guy that came in and pushed his contract through at the last minute the year before.

Why would he do that if he was
Trying to push him out?

No, they just promoted it. By asking him to apologize for it, and then firing him for it.

Myers is the reason it got nudged further. Hance was saving face the year before. He didn't want to be the bad guy since Leach was extremely popular and he didn't want to be the big bad guy that didn't overrule Myers and Bailey.

It's silly that we are flooding this thread with this, yet again.

It's all been said over and over again.

Oh, I forgot that Hance outbid Margaret Talkington for her donation while she was on her death bed for that chapel he built just so he could have his name on it. That's why the University named the new dorm after her. Her donation allotment went to the new dorm instead of what she truly wanted it to go to because she died before she could put in more money than the ugly hateful greedy politician. Hance is a great guy.

You like to use that embarrass thing when it comes to this topic. I don't know why. I guess to try to make your case stronger? Just stick to the facts.

Actually I do know probably more than you think. I just disagree.

You sound like a disgruntled lower level worker. That's that it sounds like to me. You don't like the man. You think you what the man should do. You don't like the way things are going. Fair enough.

You say that he didn't raise the money but his minions did. Well hell, that right here tells me that you don't understand how this thing works. Lol, it is under his leadership that things happened. I mean, come on bro. Seriously. What Tech had done under him is absolutely unprecedented. He came in and publicly stated that he wasn't going to leave until he created a billion dollar endowment. It took 5 years and he did it. Then he retired. The man set a huge goal and accomplished it. You have to be blind to dismiss that. It is pretty comical. Yeah, right he did nothing. Tech succeeded in spite of this.

So you are saying they didn't defame him now? Fair enough.

If not go ahead and produce something we can all see.

Say what? Myers was the one the recommended that Leach be fired. That's record and documented.

Which goes further to the point that Tech supported leach as long
As they could.

Not a bit of that addressed what he did with our infrastructure. Yeah, I'm a low level guy making upper middle class wages. His dumbassery didn't affect me in any way, really. He just set back my overall plan a lot when he took out many players in my game because he felt he should leave his name "somehow". He axed departments for no damn reason and lost the university millions in internal revenue. What Tech raised was actually the result of Dr. Overly's extreme work, which netted her an almost immediate job somewhere else at a higher position because she did so well. Again, you don't know what is going on in the inner university workings, but want to pretend you do.

I would say that them firing him on a plate of lies is pretty much the epitome of defamation.

Not sure how you can't see that.

Maybe my post was confusing. Myers wanted Leach gone the year before. Hance tried to save face for Myers while he was out of town and told Bailey to extend him. The extension talks were happening because Leach was so popular, and then once the lies came out he pounced because he wanted him gone to begin with. Hopefully that's more clear for you.

My favorite part was at the :55 mark.

I was at the game, it was the turning point to the season. Godfrey came in as a true freshman, led a comeback that fell just short because the WR fumbled at the 10...but it sparked a great year and first conference championship.

Leach apparently was so amazed at the greatness, he forgot to speak at times.

I hope it will continue to be a better place. I am happy for the progress. ERspescially all of the leaps and bounds that Tech made under The Hancellor.
Why are you stirring this shit up again. IMO, hiding behind sovereign immunity makes every Tech contract a one year contract because they are liars and have proven it. We'll never be able to compete with Baylor over a coach again because Baylor's contracts have to be honored.
