Virginia police plan to force 17-year-old boy to have an erection and snap photos
A 17 year-old Virginia teenage boy who is in hot water after sexting his 15-year-old girlfriend could be forced to have an erection by police so that they can take a picture and compare it to the sext as evidence.
“The prosecutor’s job is to seek justice. What is just about this? How does this advance the interest of the Commonwealth? This is a 17-year-old who goes to school every day, plays football, has never been in trouble with the law before. Now he’s saddled with two felonies and the implication that he’s a sexual predator,” Jessica Harbeson Foster, the teen’s defense attorney, told the Washington Post.
The teenager is being charged with two felonies: possession of child pornography — namely, the sexts from his girlfriend — and manufacturing child pornography (the lewd video of himself).
A guilty verdict would leave him a registered sex offender for life and jailed until he’s 21 years old.
“I don’t mind trying the case. My goal is to stop the search warrant. I don’t want him to go through that. Taking him down to the hospital so he can get an erection in front of all those cops — that’s traumatizing,” Harbeson Foster said. “[They're going to] use special software to compare pictures of this penis to this penis. Who does this? It’s just crazy,” she added.
The plan is to bring him to a hospital, give him an injection, take the pictures and move on with their lives.
It’s a terribly ironic thing that manufactured child pornography may be prosecuted with the help of police-manufactured child pornography.
