Durant is the 2nd best player in the game and I'd love to have him on my team, but he does have a softness to him.

I still remember him getting taken to the hole and even muscled up by Battier.
Durant's definitely soft. Remember a few weeks ago during the 2nd game against Miami. The #1 player vs the #2 player.

Lebron comes out strong scores something like 12 of Miami's first 14 points.

Durant's response? Float around aimlessly and not even attempt a shot until about 7 minutes had passed.

I was so pissed that night at how he backed down from that match up. I can understand if the shots weren't falling but that dude just straight up backed down and let Lebron dominate him in his own backyard. That's inexcusable.

The problem is that the Alpha Dog of the team doesn't have the Alpha Dog mentality....Westbrook does.

But OKC isn't at their best when Westbrook is on his game, they're at their best when Durant is on his. Westbrook also diesbt understand the idea of deferring to KD like he should either.

Westbrook has actually been better at deferring lately. Today he slipped back into the old Westbrook mode. I'm guessing part of the reason for that is because he was back in his home town playing against the team he grew up rooting for. So he played like a hyperactive 9 year old hopped up on pixie sticks sugar.

OKC's defense is a bigger concern.

I know they won't be favored in any series they make in the playoffs, but if they play solid like that they could do some damage!
They have been much better this season than I ever thought they would be.

We have a winning record against both Portland and Indiana, and we're only like one of two teams in the league who can say that.

Like you said, we'll be underdogs no matter what, but I think we'll at least make things fun in the playoffs.

ROCKETS, BITCHES.:towel

About 1/3 of the way through the season, doubt started to creep about the Howard trade. They were blowing leads and couldn't get in sync. Luckily, I don't know too much about the ins and outs of basketball.

Rockets look great.

If they can just play better team defense going into the playoffs, they'll have a chance at getting all the way to the finals.

Kobe out for the year.
Which anyone with half a brain knew would be the case when he tore his achilles so late into last season.

To make matters worse, the Lakers pulled a Jerry move and gave a 35 year old player who was still recovering from injury an extension.

They're gonna be screwed for quite some time.

OKC is just a bad matchup for whatever reason fir the Rockets.

They are 0-3 this season against them and in none of those contests was the outcome ever really in question.

I don't know if Beverly is a scrappy player or just a bush league douche, but I do like how he isn't afraid to back down from Westbrook.

Bush league douche.

While he was out there thugging it up, Westbrook lit him up for 24/4/7 & 4 steals.

Beverly's stat line.....let's just say he had as many fouls as he had points and assists, combined. 5 fouls, 2 points, 3 assists.

Bravo, Beverly, you sure showed them. :lol

Dwight Howard is off to a nice start against the Heat. This is the type of game that he should put up at least 25 & 15.

Surprisingly the Heat are outworking the Rockets on the boards so far. Lots of 2nd and 3rd shots for the Heat here in 1Q.
