A couple weeks ago on 105.3 someone asked Belt why Davis fell out of favor years ago and he laughed and said "Skip Peete knows," obviously not wanting to say. But then he said, "Let's just say this, I'm surprised he's on the team right now."

So it must have been something pretty bad. Why hold on to guys like that? Especially JAGs barely good enough to even play. So stupid.

It's definitely strange, I just hope they have the good sense to add a credible veteran RB2 in FA to pair with Williams.

Doesn't have to be someone flashy, just a Jerome Ford or some such.

I'm absolutely not ready to have a conversation that Ez is a stud in the making. This defense is too shit for me to effusively praise any individual players from it.

I'm hopeful, and I'll leave it at that.
I don’t fault anyone for having high hopes for him, but I don’t think he’s worth a shit.

To me he's a little limited now being so small, but a year in an NFL weight room should help that a lot.

The biggest thing is he's not 1) injured, 2) just a combine warrior, or 3) a total knucklehead. That alone makes him a huge add for us.

Ezeiruaku is basically at the top of the rookie leaderboard in sacks, QB hits and TFL.

I don't think he's going to be some sort of transcendent player like Parsons but something would have to go very wrong for him not to be a strong building block for the future.

Nik Bonnitto is 6'3" 240 pounds. You don't have to be huge to be a great NFL pass rusher. EZ is 248 pounds. He will get stronger. That's what NFL weight rooms do. But it feels like he is really figuring out how to beat NFL caliber tackles and we are seeing a different man then we saw at the beginning of the season from a pass rush standpoint.

Long term I do think more of a stand up LBer/DE role will be best for him. But nothing wrong with that. Hell if we are going to go to more 5 man fronts that's what he will be doing. A 5 man Dline is just a slightly different version of a 3-4.

Right, Bonitto is a 34 OLB. I'd love it if we ran that because it would suit Eze a lot better (among other reasons).

I'm skeptical Eberflus would actually do that more or less full time, but I'd love to wrong about that.

Apparently the Bills tried hard to move for Quinnen Williams if that makes anybody feel better.
