I like this title better:

@Genghis Khan

Our time has come!

It's a start but not far enough.

They're way overcomplicating it by implementing this challenge nonsense so that they don't have to do away with home plate umps.

You get 2 challenges and only a pitcher, hitter or catcher can issue a challenge which they call for by tapping their head, and if successful they retain their challenge, then if they go extra innings each team gets another challenge and blah blah blah.

Just give us robots and you won't need this convoluted challenge nonsense.

By doing it this way they're essentially saying "we could have 100% accuracy on balls and strikes, but we'd rather have bad calls and have teams beg for them to be corrected, and if they are wrong twice they're screwed for the rest of the game." It's kind of absurd.

I don't understand how a major league ump can consistently warp the strike zone to feed his ego. I'M IN CHARGE HERE and if I want a strike zone half a foot off the plate then, by God, I can do it. So fucking stupid and senseless. These cunts should be fired on the spot and replace by umps who will call it by the book.

I'm sure it will happen. Tennis has almost totally gotten rid of linespeople. At first they had the machines telling the people if the ball was in or out, but now they don't even have people, just the machine with a human sounding voice.

It's a shame because I really enjoy the chess match in baseball but often nowadays it just seems like throw hard swing hard and that's about it.

It's one of the reasons I always really liked guys like Greg Maddux despite him being on the Braves, because that dude understood how to pitch.
Mark Buehrle was a pitcher I really loved watching with the White Sox. Very similar in that he didn't try to throw hard. He just had a damn good strategy.

My AAA Twins eliminate the Rangers tonight, so I've got that going for me.

Which is nice.
Wasn't that hard to accomplish. I think thats 7 losses in a row. A few days ago I wondered if they would even win a game the rest of the way. 5 games left. Let's see if they lose out.

They have just completely given up and just going through the motions.

At least there is one good thing that will come out of this. Their last series is against Cleveland and losing to them will help keep the Asstros out of the playoffs.

Yes. This needs to happen. (Sorry, Ace.)

I don't think the Rangers help is even needed as the Astros are in a free fall themselves.

I said that I didn't think they'd make the playoffs so this is going how I thought it would, I just thought the Rangers would be the ones to get that last spot.

They might have if they didn't try to put Garcia in. They sat the spark plugs (Freeman and Helman) in that first game against Houston. Put Garcia back in when he was part of the problem the whole season with the offense. Shouldn't have messed with their mojo because that offense was very good.

Now with that being said Im not sure they could have held off Cleveland. That team in the second half has gone on a tear. I think Detroit had a double digit lead on them mid July. Now Detroit is in the wildcard seat.

Yeah, Seattle and Cleveland really got going after the All Star break and both are deserving postseason participants.

It looks like it's between the Tigers and Astros for the last spot, but I just don't think the Astros have the right energy about them even with the more favorable matchup between the two.
