I think there's an argument that Steele is the worst starter on the roster, so I wouldn't be against it if the BPA/near-BPA is someone who projects as a RT.

Depends who else is available obviously, but I wouldn't write it off just because we've taken OL 3 of the last 4 years in the first.

In a total overreaction move, I may have to start looking at DBs in this draft. Corners and safeties. I'd definitely consider using one of the firsts in the secondary.

Yeah with glaring needs at RT, RB, TE, WR, DE, DT, S, CB, and even QB they need to go BPA because basically that’s the whole roster.

It’s supposed to be an awesome draft, so they should let it come to them, unless they can trade down, then they should trade down and let it come to them.

If they plan on going forward with Eberflus, they absolutely have to. And that sucks. Those two positions are the worst to scout outside of QB.

Revel and Bland might be okay, though.

We do need safeties, but we'd need that anyway. I'm surprised we didn't draft someone late this past draft.

I don't know if there is a point until we are willing to move on from Wilson and/or Hooker. Obviously my choice is Wilson who has no place in this defense.

My thinking is just that Wilson is a high-collision player and those usually don't last that long, and Hooker has been around a long time now and has a lot of miles on him. At least the corners are young. (Yes, I am assuming Revel can play.)

We are back to looking for safeties again? Thats going to be fun.
I get Hooker due to his familiarity, but the rest of the secondary guys are poor fits and do not have the range. Neither does Murray or Sanborn but that does not stop Eberflus from pretending they are Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs with the ground each is expected to cover. It is pretty clear they are hanging on for Overshown.

I think you can get away with meh safeties as long as they aren't complete liabilities in coverage like Wilson. The other one, Hooker. Doesn't make plays, but isn't embarrassing himself either. Need two of those.

I mean Overshown will be a great fit in this defense if he ever stays healthy.

Right now we seem to really be leaning into the veterans regardless of talent or fit.
