I disagree. 200 yards is nothing.
Eh, I think it’s easy to throw that out there if you are an avid gun guy like you or others who are around weapons of that caliber.
A couple Secret Service agents on FOX seem to think the shooter had to have a bit of training given the caliber, downward angle and distance. I’m hearing the FBI have visited several gun ranges already seeing if the shooter has been seen there practicing or zeroing the rifle.

He hit the tree he was aiming at tho. About split it in half vertically.
Unless this tree was dead and bone dry and a small one at that, I call bullshit. A .30-06 is a heavier, hard hitting round. But not that fucking big. A .50 cal won't even split a tree.

The .30-06 is the worlds most popular and widely used caliber for deer hunting. If it would split a tree, just what do you think it would do to the soft tissue of a deer? Pink mist.

Hell, hitting Kirk in the neck it would have completely cut his head off if it carried that kind of energy.

Oh no. I got the dreaded dur from Unk.

If you think a 200 yard shot is hard to make I question your experience with a rifle. ESPECIALLY when the shot is taken from the prone supported position with ample time to aim. Any 15 year old kid out deer hunting can make that shot.

And for those talking about it being a head/neck shot, how do you know that was where he was aiming? Maybe they were aiming center mass and... missed. Maybe they jerked on the trigger causing their aiming point to rise. And they were still lucky enough to catch the neck? By all accounts, impact was on the right side of the neck. (Kirk's left) Not center mass. So another inch or so to the right, and they would have completely missed.

And if this shot was taken by a professional, the target area would either be center mass of the chest, with a double tap. Or the T-zone. Not the neck. That aiming point is just not practical.
I didn’t mean to dur you, I thought I hit “like”. Didn’t have my glasses on.

I have quite a bit of experience with rifles, matter of fact I have hit a 1,000 yard plate at Coleman’s Creek in NC and have shot with Navy Seals and Delta sniper teams. But that’s immaterial.

You can’t sit there and act like this shooter didn’t have a shit ton of adrenaline coursing thru his body. That has a huge effect on the ability to hit a target at 100 let alone 200.

Maybe the guy got lucky on the shot. We will probably never know because I bet the coward will kill himself or present himself in a way the cops kill him.

We can agree to disagree.

the unemployment line is getting longer

The response by employers has been pretty swift. I know a local realtor here posted some celebration and she got fired right away and Re/Max issued a statement. I'm glad there are reprocussions for it. But it's also like an iceberg. The number who are dumb enough to post that shit are a small percentage of the people celebrating behind the scenes. You're really only seeing the tip of the people who actually feel that way.

Never once heard him insult or name call someone in a debate. He was the most respectful debater I’ve seen.
There is that footage of him using the N-word! It is right there!

Oh wait, it is him calling someone by their proper name.

I will say that it is sad that a lot of people just can’t get through a goddam interview without saying something like…”.well this was a tragedy and thoughts and prayers to his family, BUT Charlie believed this or didn’t believe this”,or something similar.

Ummm, no. I'm not an Omar fan by any stretch, but it is irresponsible and click-bait for those people at EW for them to say she's happy that he was killed.
Although they aren't jumping for joy that was far from remorse for what happened. You dont speak what you believe is his faults if you are paying tribute to the guy.

You guys are right that she didn't explicitly say that.

But if you think she isn't actually happy, I have a sweet bridge to sell you.

Where is the racist part coming from?

Other than that they claim every conservative is racist, of course.

Same with the misogynistic part. I'm sure just because he thought people should get married and have families and not be lifelong cat people.
