I wasn't planning on going, but I'm thinking about showing up at the DCC convention with some Mazi swag and a fresh new hotboyz tatoo.

Might even shoot ol' Ernie an invite and bring him along.
There is no Mazi swag. Your game is already weak if that is all you got.

As much as I like Clark, we could still use another run defender for short yardage. Clark might overall be better vs the pass than he is vs the run, but he’s leagues better than what we have now vs either. Maybe Toia can be that guy to help stuff short yardage?

Kneeland and James are prolly our best natural run defenders, and Odighizuwa has to fucking earn his big money. I’m hoping Eberflus’ system helps him improve his run technique. Murray is the same way, and while Liufau is inconsistent, he’s shown more vs the run than Osa and Murray.

No worries on Toia. Might take a minute, but failure rate on fat Samoans is low.

Having Clark now gives someone like Toia time to develop into a guy who can play 15 snaps a game, as opposed to having to throw him out there immediately because we had 0 capable DTs over 300.

Right, I bet Toia will be okay several games in as he gets more experience.

One of his problems in the preseason games is he played so many snaps he was exhausted. That won't be a problem now.

Yeah, it's a huge lift to get this guy on many levels.

And I want to be clear about being 300+-- you still have to be talented, instinctive, and tough before that weight can help you anchor and do much of anything.

I'll take a talented, tough, and durable 290-300 over a 325 pound space-eater any day.

Chris Jones and Simmons are 300, and Fletcher Cox played for years at or under 300.

Clark is talented and has been consistently around 315, best of both worlds.
