I think Micah’s attitude rubbed the Cowboys the wrong way on top of whatever stance his agent took, to be frank. The training table was the last straw. They want people who want to be Cowboys leaders vs. folks who want the most money no matter what.

I’m not giving Dallas a pass for fumbling this whole thing because they did, big time, starting late last year when they didn’t take care of it before all the pass rushers reset the market.

But Micah started making things worse by arguing his case via social media. Jerry despises nothing more than that— he thinks of it as ‘disloyalty.’
Ok, so I'm going to look at the positives or at least fake it.

Clark is good and was banged up with a foot injury last year, toe.

Micah was kind of a distraction. Podcasts and shit. I'm sure the whole locker room wasn't fond of him.

4 playoff games, 1 sack.

We complain about the run defense and the DT's. When we got ran over a lot of runs right at Micah and around him.

I don't know. I'm trying.

I think I'd be fine with it if we got a another 2nd and 3rd or something.

I was actually looking forward to watching the season opener.

This stupid trade just killed the little enthusiasm I had left.

You just don't trade players of this caliber.

And if you're going to do something that wild, you get a much better haul than we did.

I can't even be kinda optimistic about what we could do with those picks because they're gonna be late 1st rounders and, more importantly, the stupid fucks who are going to be responsible for using those picks don't know WTF they're doing.

I don't know man......barring some miraculous, totally unexpected Super Bowl run this season, this may have just been the final straw for me.

Jerry is such a petulant, lazy child. He let his money get mad and didn't even try to create a bidding war for the team's best player. I refuse to believe that he couldn't have gotten equivalent (terrible) value from an AFC team. But, much like last off-season, the coaching "search", RB, DT, and free agency in general, he didn't. Even. Try.

And if you think Micah had an attitude problem, wait until you get a load of Pickens on Thanksgiving after Milton throws another 100mph fastball 10 feet over his head.

It really does remind me of when the 49ers traded Haley to us because they were sick of his shit and I believe didn't want to pay him.
Yup, we may have just handed them the key to multiple titles. And let’s face it, Jerry gave him away for 50 cents on the dollar. Future HOFer for old DT and two bottom of the bucket first rounders. Horrid.

Watching Dallas get destroyed on Get Up. Deserved in many respects. I agree with most of it. We talk about it here all the time.

Honestly though, not one bad thing said about Micah in any respect? Hmm. I don't agree with that at all. He has several shortcomings including a couple on the field.

I don't know, I guess I'll always have a little homer in my personality, but I don't think it's the worst thing in the world that we traded him. I think our return on the trade was a problem. I think knowing Jerry and Co.. that their intentions with the picks we did get, is a problem. But I guess I'm looking at what we could do potentially with this situation through the lense of competency. Yeah this was probably a mistake, only because I don't trust what Jerry will do with the picks. I don't see a plan in action.

Also, I know GB dismantled us in the playoffs and they've got a good team, but I'm just never going to be sold on Jordan Love. Fuck them. Here's to them having a particularly unlucky year.

Back to raking Dallas over the coals I guess. I get it. I do.

Yeah they are getting killed so badly, it’s like they’ve been checking this board for their talking points this morning.

Bashing Dallas is cat nip for retards on shows like that, whether they 100% believe it or not they do it for clicks/attention.

Parsons has his warts, and as I've said many times I was concerned about how things fit for our specific roster with so many undersized edges, plus the ridiculous DT situation. The decision to trade him is perfectly fine, the issue was the return.

If they had gotten an extra 2/3 I would've been pretty comfortable with the deal, not in love with it but it would've been fine. As it is the return is weak, but the fact that they have so much flexibility to address the future at QB is a clear silver lining to me.

It will be a big disappointment for me if they just sit and pick with all four of their 1's in 2026 and 2027, with none being legit QB prospects, or if they do some weird developmental shit by taking another QB in the 4th and ignoring the many guys who will be available in the first.

At the very least I'd want to see them try to move up for a special position player like Peter Woods, Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams or Dylan Stewart. Although it's very possible that we might just suck enough in the first place to get a high enough pick for one of those guys.

How amazing would it be if the Cowboys get in position to draft Manning only to have the family pull an Eli on them?

I can't see it but it'd be a pretty hilarious way for Jerry to spend his final years.
