If he fucked up his back, it was not in a team-related activity.
it's not, which is why he is seeking a second opinion. He is trying to get someone to say there is something wrong with his back so he can sit out and still get paid. He is full of shit hunting for a medical diagnosis for something that doesn't exist.

I am definitely at that stage. Shit or get off the pot.
The worst thing would be him holding out, being a huge distraction, wasting a prime year. Sigh......at least if we got a haul of picks, we could talk about the draft all season.

Maybe. The more I think about it, the more I think this will cement the franchise’s rep as a fucking joke.
Fucking Pre-Boomer Owner/GM can’t make it work with generational pass rusher in his prime. No amount of draft picks will overcome that.

The more I think about, the more I believe they have dragged this out to get fans engaged.

Are you not entertained?

It would be interesting to see how the last month has affected their bottom line.

The franchise value increased by nearly $3billion last year.

He's playing 4-d chess.

Very disappointing if they aren’t able to work this out.
Somewhat, but depending on the return I think I might even prefer trading him.

He's a special player for sure, but he's also very undersized and needs to be protected both by the scheme and by having certain types of players around him. I don't think we've done a great job on either, and adding more undersized edge rushers like Fowler and Ezeiruaku doesn't help.

All that is to say that if we can move him for a properly-sized DE like Greg Rousseau, Rashan Gary or Travon Walker, plus two 1's, I think that's something you have to very seriously consider.

We'd be getting a player who can probably give us about 80% of what Parsons does, it'd balance our run defense out a bit, and we'd have the flexibility to do whatever we want over the next two drafts, be it moving for a potential franchise QB, or maybe even moving up for an elite position player to further balance out the DL like Peter Woods.

Now if we're talking just getting two 1's and a 3? Sure, that's disappointing and stupid, but I could easily argue for certain trade scenarios instead of extending him at 42-45/year.

Just so disappointing that he was basically moved to full time DE after his rookie year. I loved the way he was used that season. Lined up anywhere and everywhere rushing the passer about 50% of the time. Now he’s certainly a great pass rushing DE, but he gets the shit beat out of him over the course of the year, especially with the way they are allowed to hold him.

You can get a lot with two 1's and a 3-- just a ton of draft capital. Parsons is special but isn't worth two blue chip players and another potential starter.

But the time for this was before April, when those picks have their highest value.

Now they can't help us at all in 2025, at this point who's going to part with a guy they prolly love like Greg Rousseau AND multiple picks? Did Mike Lynn return to the NFL?

I'd rather have the picks in the next two drafts than in this past one, primarily because 2026 looks to be a potentially strong QB class, and potentially 2027 as well depending on who leaves and who stays in college. 2027 is also going to be a special year for position players with several guys who I think will be as good or better than anybody in either the 2025 or 2026 class.

And who knows exactly what the offers might look like for Parsons, but I'm just saying how I'd approach it. Two 1's and a 3 isn't enough, if we're talking pure picks I need two 1's and two 2's, if you want to give me a player who I think equates to either a 1st or 2nd then I'll adjust that accordingly.

You gotta remember, he’s likely going to a contender if traded. That means low picks this team has to hit on. maxi and Guyton don’t inspire a lot of confidence on that front lately.

That's where you also get the proven player like Simp has talked about.

But, I'm not sure it has to be a contender. Apparently he wants money. If a middling team is the one who will pay him the most, I bet he'd be fine with it.
