Cleveland is the worst place for Sanders. It’s already the place where QBs go to die, but with the lack of success as a franchise, all the extra distractions that will come with him will be too much for this organization to overcome..

I am so glad this dude wasn’t drafted by the Cowboys.

Yeah, former Steeler headcase WRs don't have a great track record of success.

And wheels-off talents don't work around here anyway.

Admittedly I liked Pickens in the draft. He has been productive. But I would rather sign Cooper for free than to trade premium capital for Pickens. In either case you're looking at a 1 year rental.

If you really want Pickens just wait until camp when the Steelers get more eager to dump the dude.

Actually I expect Cheap Steve's plan is to wait until some name vet is cut in camp anyway.

Of course that means no rapport with Dak before the season starts, but the Joneses don't believe in stuff like that anyway.

He loves those right before season starts trades.

And we very well may have extra DEs or Olineman to swap for a WR at that time. But I hate waiting until the end of preseason to add a WR. Again, that's why you sign a vet like Cooper now. And then you have time to evaluate what he has left in the tank.

Yea, just sign Cooper or Allen now as long as it's not cost prohibitive and if they're truly cooked, just cut them during or slightly after TC.

One of the biggest traps that I think these jokers fall into is not wanting to sign vets because they think they're so optimistic about their "homegrown" UDFA's and round 6/7 picks that they want to make sure they get plenty of reps during the offseason.

Theoretically it makes some sense but percentage wise it's not a great play and it puts you into a bind when you wait to add vets to fill a hole in August.

My only concern with Cooper is that Buffalo almost benched him during the playoffs last year. I wonder how much he has left.

That's exactly it. They're hoping one of the younger guys like Fluornoy takes a huge step and they don't want a progress stopper to get in their way until they're convinced he can't do it. And by then it's almost too late for the season.

Why do we do that with sixth and seventh round picks at WR but not other positions? No one is sitting here going, we need to see if Asim Richards or Nathan Thomas can step up at LT or RG. No one is worried about progress stoppers for Liufau or Clark. No those positions we go, that's a concern and we address them with premium resources in the draft or sign guys.

But at WR it's well, every good receiver went right before our picks. But hey this sixth/seventh round pick needs a chance.

Was it an attitude thing or a physical thing? I'm not worried about Coopers attitude, I think his personality gets misunderstood by some. If it's a physical thing then he could just be done. But that's a quick drop off the cliff.
