Completely agreeI think Will Howard is getting slept on.
Sure Ez is a great pick, but there was an even better DE there to take as well.So the three picks that they've made have ranged from good to awesome.
We've talked Booker ad nauseum, but Ezeiruaku is someone who I would've considered if we had ended up trading down to 25, getting him at 44 is ridiculous and I think it might end up being our best 2nd rounder in a very long time.
Revel I would've been fine with in the 2nd if the board was a certain way, getting him in the 3rd isn't a massive steal like Ezeiruaku but it's still a very good pick.
But this is the problem when you box yourself in by half-assing FA, even though they've made three very good picks we're still sitting here with pretty big holes at RB, WR and DT.
I don't even know what the hell these guys are going to do with 7 freaking picks tomorrow but I'd be looking to package several of those to move up into the late 4/early 5 range.
Something did change. Last year we drafted almost totally for need, this year we didn't at all.Sure Ez is a great pick, but there was an even better DE there to take as well.
I think that blurb about Schott wanting high character players was spot on. All three picks are pretty impeccable there.
I mean he is pretty far a long in the knee recovery. He should be good to go. Dude was a first round pick before that. 4.3 speed, size and length. I actually think he could be a home run pick. And I'm not a corner guy, but that's too good to pass up.Revel in the third seems good.
I preferred Green for sure but not by a mile, I probably had Green around 15 or so and Eze around about 25-30.Sure Ez is a great pick, but there was an even better DE there to take as well.

Yeah close for me. Probably a little better overall college resume than Green. Longer arms and all that stuff. But I think Green has better pure speed. Either guy would have been a steal in the second.I preferred Green for sure but not by a mile, I probably had Green around 15 or so and Eze around about 25-30.
But it's obvious that the off-field stuff scared away a bunch of teams, so even though I think Green is more talented I don't blame them for passing him up when damn near the rest of the league passed him up twice.
I wouldn't exactly say that. All three were needs. Just not as glaring of needs as RB, WR, and DT.Something did change. Last year we drafted almost totally for need, this year we didn't at all.
He’s embarrassed cause his QB ranking loses all credibility.Mel Kiper losing his shit over Sanders still being available. It's almost embarrassing.
I mean corner was a pretty big need. I don't know that Diggs will be ready for the season. We lost Lewis. We are basically using Carson and a first round bust. So if Revel is good to go for camp that fills a big need.I wouldn't exactly say that. All three were needs. Just not as glaring of needs as RB, WR, and DT.
That's what I figured. Might get another developmental type WR with one of those late rounders. There it is: Jerry at the PC mentioning that we've already picked Mingo with our fourth rounder.![]()
