6th year senior. Finally caught on in years 5 and 6. Looks like he could be a liability in pass pro and is projected as part of a shared backfield. Described as quick not fast. Not sure he will have nearly the same results against nfl talent.
You’re off on your facts a bit. He spent 5 years in college, not 6. He RS a year while competing as a QB. Once he moved to RB, he had 1 injury year, 1 year as RB2 and then 2 years as a starter. With the exception of wasting time at QB, that’s a somewhat normal progression for your typical college back.

What isn’t normal was his production as a starter, his balance and vision to find and hit the hole. And I don’t know what his 40 time is, but his game speed is very good and noticeable on tape. You won’t find a more complete runner in this draft.

He ran a 4.4 he is fast.

I don't worry about age with RBs. He is a 4 or 5 year player and then you move on.

RBs are fungible players.

Elliott was a brutal lesson.

I call it the Lesson of the Nose Rings.
Don't give RBs a second contract. We should have rode Zeke for 5 years and said thank you for your service. It's not a difficult concept. Which is a huge part of why it's hard to use a first round pick on a RB. You need 10 year cornerstone players and a lot of them are found in the first round. Doesn't mean RB isn't important but the reduced shelf life reduces the value.

Based on the final mocks it would seem the pick is down to McMillan, Golden, Booker or Zabel, with a preference to trade down, maybe with Nolen floating around as a consideration as well.

Seems everybody is convinced we take McMillan if he's there.

One interesting thing is that some of these last mocks have Membou falling to us but we end up taking McMillan, given that we brought him in for a 30 visit I could see Membou being the pick if available.

Booker just feels like not our type at all. But maybe the new coaching staff is bringing a different mindset with the Oline. I know he keeps getting brought up so I fully believe there is a chance. Just feels like such a deviation for this team.

I think he fits what this new staff does with the OL.

He isn't great pulling out in space but a lot of what they do is based on gap/power stuff and that's of course his speciality.

Could be but my understanding is pulling the guards is a big part of the run game plan.

The 2025 NFL Draft is free to attend and open to the public. You must buy separate tickets to seating in the actual Draft Theater. As of April 19, ticket packages were still available for the second and third rounds, 9, starting at $1,000 per person, and for the third through seventh rounds at $650 per person. All-round, first-round and elite packages are sold out through the NFL's official partner, On Location

Yea not all pulling is created the same though, he can do the short range kickout blocks down to the other side of the OL and things like that, he just isn't going to be the best getting 15 yards downfield in space.

I think the more important thing is that a lot of what Arizona did last year was built on kind of mashing guys on the interior, and Booker can do that no problem.

We can do whatever as long as we draft Ewers as an obvious heir apparent for Dak.

Just total gut feel here, I think we'd take TMac also. He fits Jerry's high-upside model.

But I also have a feeling someone before us will take him. It just takes one team to love him. Which might be a good thing.
