Another preview I saw was for the new karate kid.

My prediction is this will be a massive bomb.

I can't imagine anyone was clamoring to find out whatever the frick Danielsan was up to. The plot looks like a just a rehash of, kid moves, meets a girl, gets bullied, learns karate from an eccentric guru, beats the bully.

Blah. Who wants this again?

The original was massively overrated and all the follow-ups were worthless.

They probably saw that Cobra Kai went over reasonably well and wanted to capitalize on it, although I agree it will be a fat fail.

As an aside, we watched Alto Knights yesterday... good movie, DeNiro was excellent.

Did you watch the others?

Now you realize Daniel Russo was a greaseball goomba dirtbag that needed his ass kicked back in the day.

The first two were fine. Everything after was meh. I enjoyed the first season or two of Cobra Kai but they ran that into the ground real quick.

Took my kid to see Minecraft.

I haven't been to the theater in a few years and man is it crazy expensive. 3 tickets came to about 50 dollars, plus concessions were almost 60. Almost $110 combined for 3 people.

It's out of control.

Beyond that, almost all of the movies are just garbage. (Example: there was a preview for Superman where a dog in a Superman cape is dragging Superman to the fortress of solitude. A DOG IN A SUPERMAN CAPE. Seriously? Not to mention superhero movies have been beaten to death.)

Poor products and insanely overpriced.

Anyone who wonders why people don't go to the theaters anymore is retarded. It's plainly obvious.
We took my son and a buddy to watch Minecraft as well.

4 tickets, 4 small drinks, and 2 small popcorn's = $150

I've never played Minecraft, so didn't enjoy the movie anyway...but damn what a ripoff.

I really can't believe theaters are still in business. I used to go all the time but it's probably been 6 years since I've gone to one. I know we had Covid in there but even 6 years ago I was complaining about the cost.

I probably wouldn't be able to pull my wallet out now.

It's not the cost that bothers me. It's the lack of a movie actually worth seeing that bothers me.

How many FFs is this now?

At least it looks like they set this one in the 60s?

Don't like that Sue Storm. She isn't hot enough and looks constantly pissed off/scared/constipated.

First time Marvel has actually done a FF. Others were shit pumped out by Sony or someone.

I'm guessing this is some variant Earth and they end up in the mainstream Marvel Earth at some point in the movie.

It's the cost for me. I don't give a shit if it's a top ten all time movie. I'm not spending 150+ bucks to watch a God damn movie. I'll wait until it's released on DVD or streaming.
I mean I'm not spending $150 to see a movie either. But most of that cost is probably food. My step daughter went to that stupid Minecraft movie on a Sunday and I think the ticket was $12. The problem is the large slushie is 8 dollars. The popcorn is another 8 bucks. And so on. (Just to be clear, I left and did not go to the movie)

The worst is when you take your family to like Applebees or Chilli's because your kids love it. And at the end, it's like did I really just spend $100+ on that? But I digress.

Yeah. Third iteration but first by marvel. I agree she is not hot enough.

I was having this conversation with a friend of mine yesterday. We have always been Marvel and Star Wars nerds going to see them in theaters. Between the cost and the fact that I can stream some of them just as soon at home. There is very few that I feel the need to se on a big screen with a bunch of people causing distractions.

Watched Novocain the other day. Jack Quaid has found his niche as an actor. If you are squeamish at all don’t watch this movie but most of it is fairly well done for a run of the mill action movie.

They've all sucked so far. Like really really bad. And we've had a zillion comic book movies in general now. Enough is enough.
