Watching a lot of the Lions, I have seen Aaron Glenn’s progression as a defensive coordinator over the years. He has come a long way from a guy who seemed in over his head and likely to be fired to an excellent schemer and obvious leader of men.
I don’t think it’s far fetched that he could slip through the cracks with other teams, Jerry be comfortable with him because he played here, and him liking the job because he played here that he could be named the coach.
That, or maybe like a Pete Carroll who is willing to kiss Jerry’s ass for a job, happening is the best we can possibly do. Otherwise I expect Kellen Moore or someone who is so head scratchingly bad of a pick that it’s a league wide embarrassment
