I agree 100% and that was my gripe with his defenses 20 years ago and I can't believe he's still doing the exact same shit.
It is novel now. Nobody remembers the Zimmy Wuss defense and the Conga Line blitzing.

Granted, this is not to that level. And they are playing their asses off.

Tough to unpack.

The Conga line blitz was the less evolved version of his double A-gap signature formation, it just took him a while to figure out how to leverage it properly and add layers to it.

He's way better, I still don't trust him as a full-time starter but I think he's a viable rotational run-stuffer at this point.
Even if he is a viable starter. He is literally like the only DT right now on the roster next year. And reasonably you need 3 DTs that you can rotate. That's assuming no one gets hurt. You don't want these guys playing too many snaps or they get tired.

I want to get annoyed at this as well, but you cannot deny the offense looks different under Rush. It is like they are trying harder.
Maybe it has something to do with they know he's not a top QB, but yet held out for best evar money?

Rush runs the gameplan. Dak tries to think
He tries too hard to be worth the money. In reality he should be paid around what Baker Mayfield makes. Maybe it would take some pressure off if he weren't paid like royalty.

It was very very interesting when they mentioned how much quicker Rush gets the ball out. That affects things.
He isn't holding the ball as long looking to make big plays down field, so that's a big part of it.

But let's be real, the two biggest differences from earlier in the year is the defense playing at a good to very good level and having a consistent running game after benching Elliott.
