I guess the question becomes how much embarassment will it take for the Joneses to do I dunno, something. This is as low as it gets.
The empty seats are a good sign. That’s the only way things will change. The fans have to stop showing up and spending money.
Hopefully the media keep rawdogging his wrinkled ass too.

This whole organization is rotten to the core. Shitty management, shitty players, extra shitty QB, and owners who have zero clue on how to build a championship caliber team.

Losing to the Giants on Thanksgiving in a half empty stadium would probably give us an idea of just how much this stuff does or doesn't bother them.
Losing is a good thing right now, they'd be idiots to get rid of McCarthy or do whatever else to win a few meaningless games. The best case scenario is what happened last night, the team was generally competitive, but then cratered and lost in the 4th, and probably embarrassed Jerry somewhat.

Do you really think they'd win any games by firing McCarthy? Zimmer (or whatever interim coach) can't make Rush what he isn't, heal Turd, restore Martin, make someone named Josh Butler a good corner, etc.

I think we'd probably win an extra game or two than we would if we kept McCarthy, yes.

Last night I wanted them to be competitive because of the opponent, and they largely were, but from here on out?

IDGAF.

I want it to be an absolute humiliation and something the Jones' feel like they're suffering through. I want having to sit through every game to be miserable for them.

You really want Master William to come here? Then this is the path to seeing that happen.

Fuck being competitive. I want blowouts from start to finish.

I think there's ZERO chance we keep him.

I can't see them going through the trouble to negotiate with his agent to make that happen, especially because doing so would be an admission that the decisions they made were significant contributors to why the 2024 season went so badly.

It's not happening.

The question was if they kept McCarthy until the end of the season vs. firing him and replacing him with Zimmer, and I think if that happened we'd probably win a meaningless game or two that we wouldn't otherwise.

There's obviously no chance McCarthy is back next year.

Yep. See it all the time and now the Raiders are stuck with Antonio Pierce.

Yeah even an extra win can mean so much when it comes to draft order. The difference between say the fifth pick in the draft and the 10th is pretty significant. I don't see the point in winning. Sure I'd like to see young guys play and improve. That's about all I care about with the rest of the season.

Lance is our ace in the hole, whenever he plays I think you'll get some more exciting chunk plays than with Rush but he's going to inevitably give it all back and then some with turnovers.

There is a natural kickstart to changing the coach.

Remember when Garrett took over? The shit he was sandbagging suddenly popped back into the offense.

I don't know if this is actually set up to have an in-season firing though. The offense is the problem all the way around and getting rid of Fat Mike would not elevate things.
