No, two different things. Teams that go for 2 would've done the same at home.
I still don't get it. So if you miss the first 2PT, then a miracle happens and you get the onside kick back then you're forced to convert a 2PT just to tie or else you lose the game after all that work and luck. That makes no sense to me.

Saquon Barkley and Henry are out there doing super human stuff every week while we're stuck with Zeke.

Is Jordan Love a Top 10 QB?
This whole league is a constant roulette wheel when it comes to QB play. Outside of MaHomes, who is that guy that you trust going into every game?

QBs are overpaid and unreliable week to week.

We will just have to schedule you some time with John Park.

Yep. He's going to be out for a while
Dr. Jerry is rarely correct with his initial "gut" diagnoses.

I'm playing the odds and betting the opposite.

Dak practices all week and doesn't miss a start.

Basically, it's predicated that you don't think your chances in OT are above 50% and are willing to take a chance winning it in regulation. For the Cowboys with their star WR Lamb hurt and backup QB (of course Dak vs Cooper is debatable) playing, you're thinking OT isn't above 50% win probability (regardless of home or road).

If you kick the first XP, you still need a miracle to happen and get the second TD, so the chances of the second TD doesn't change whether you go for 2 points or XP.

Say you get the second TD and kick a second XP, you're best outcome is still a tie and taking your chances in OT. But now you've spent all that work and luck just to enter an OT you believe you're <50% chance winning.

So, how can you win the game without going into OT? 2pter and then second TD XP.

If you miss the first 2pter, again the chances of getting the second TD don't change. Now, this depends on your point of view, but missing a second straight 2pter (even though the first attempt has no effect on conversion of the 2nd attempt) is supposedly unlikely enough to make it worth it to have a chance to win in regulation.

Think of the 3pointer game that basketball has become. Teams don't want to shoot the long-range 2 pointer and would rather take a lower chance 3pointer because the payoff is 50% better and worth the lower 3pter chance.
