And the records of those three teams?
3-13, 5-11 and 5-11.
The dirty little secret in the NFL these days where everybody wants to obsess over the passing game, QB's and WR's, is that aside from the Chiefs almost every top team over the last few years has built their offense around the running game in one form or another.
Some are RB-centric like the 49ers and Lions, while others are QB-centric like the Eagles, Bills and Ravens, but the common thread is that all these offenses have invested heavily at RB/OL or have gone all-in on using their QB's legs to keep their offense balanced.
And zooming in on just this season the teams that are doing surprisingly well are leaning heavily on the running game - the Vikings with Jones, the Falcons with Bijan, and the Skins with Robinson/Ekeler and their QB.
You shouldn't be taking RB's in the top 5, and ideally you shouldn't be making your RB the highest paid guy in the league, but having a strong running game is still arguably the most important path to having a balanced, consistent offense, while we literally don't have a starting-caliber RB and are on pace for one of the worst rushing offenses in team history.
But I'm sure Jap Park has some spreadsheet arguing why it all makes sense.
