Yeah but we also know nothing will happen at RB unless one of them decides we need to do something at RB. Jerry isn't going to do anything on his own. Not unless it's trading for Trey Lance. Than he needs no prompting from them.
Or signing his buddy Zeke. :tippytoe

And I dunno, Mike could get fired before the year is over.

Maxi gonna go down as an all timer bad first rounder.
Even if we only ever get avg to below avg utility out of him for a few years, he'd maybe crack the top ten of worst all time first rounders.

He's gotta ramp up his suck to match guys like Bobby Carpenter, Morris Claiborne, Rod Hill, Shante Carver, David LaFleur, Taco Charlton, Bill Thomas, Tody Smith, Kevin Brooks, and Scott Appleton.

He was critical of a lot of stuff. He also was critical (as were the Mannings) of the way they used their timeouts at the end of the first half, which kind of put them in a bind as far as having to call pass plays, which made them easier to defend. I'll still never comprehend how you hire a spare like Raheem Morris over Belichick.

But, he was critical of the Eagles a lot, too. Kept talking about how badly they were playing the run and how badly they were tackling. I wanted Peyton ask him how you correct that when you can't even practice it with today's soft-ass rules for camp.

I'll gladly take Belichick.

If nothing else, he'll do what Parcells did and change the culture.... at least temporarily.

We just have to hope that he makes good hires as the assistant level.

I think if he comes here it will be a giant shit stain on his legacy. I think the toxic culture of this team is incurable without a change in ownership.

Maybe not a giant one but it would end his coaching career in an anticlimactic way. I agree that it doesn't matter who we hire. This organization is not operationally competent enough to even luck into a championship.

I don't think Belichick is a real option anyway. He'd want too much control and Jerry isn't walking on eggshells again.

Jerry doesn't mind the speculation of course, because attention > everything else. But I don't think it's something he really wants. If nothing else, we know Jerry hates paying coaches and Beliichick made 15 mil or whatever at New England.
