If I were in charge, I’d cut every RB on the roster, sign two guys from a practice squad who have some speed. Then I’d tell McCarthy if he ever runs an end around to Kavinte Turpin again he’s fired.

Then I’d explain to Dak that Spann-Ford isn’t a real person and it’s okay to throw the ball where a WR is going to be instead of where he was or is.

We might win 9 games.

He’s also not the guy who gets you out of that hole. But he is paid like he is.
That's because NFL teams painted themselves into a corner with that "next man up gets paid the most" nonsense.

Part of me thinks that if a different organization with a young innovative coaching staff were in that position, they wouldn't have been afraid to allow Dak to walk and start over at QB.

Jerry's too conservative to throw caution to the wind like that. He loves to boast about taking chances but other than taking risks on players with medical issues, his actions rarely match up with his rhetoric.

Too much Jerruh optimism in Trey Lance and Ezekiel Elliott.

It’s all about profit margins with probably every team I’d guess, but a few actually get crazy and devoted to winning.

I think Jerry likes the bottom line and being the leagues punching bag as long as the money and spotlight is where he wants it.

As it stands, he can be profitable with Dak because the team will mostly be okay until it matters.

But yeah, it’s definitely a symptom of where we are with staff and philosophy in the front office.

Vs Geno Smith and Baker Mayfield, the improvement of play on the field with Prescott isn't worth the extra ~$25M/YR
It really isn't. But as I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, even if we had that extra cap room.....do you really think Jerry would go out and spend the money on impact FAs? I don't.

I think he'd just use that money to re-sign current Cowboys whose contracts are coming up.

So essentially we'd probably be in the same boat even with a lower salaried QB.

Said it before, but Jerry admitted in that Stephen A Smith interview that he didn't take as many risks as when he was younger, that he's trying to be more steady now.

Almost made me wish for the younger Jerry who'd at least take a chance.

Best GM model in the NFL is to have it parallel your 401k strategy approaching retirement

Bengals QB sneak on 2nd and 1 while on the Chiefs 20. Seems like a waste

So why weren't adjustments made during the game? It can be done. I have seen it with my own eyes while watching other NFL games.

Just say it, Mike. When Micah Parsons isn't playing out of his mind, our defense sucks
