I’m not a scientist, and I don’t claim to know when a fertilized egg is a human being. That’s well above my pay grade. My opinion is that the best method to avoid even having to make such a decision to ensure that people have (and utilize) access to contraception. Again, I don’t agree with abortion, I’ll never agree with Government intervention, nor do I agree in controlling someone else’s life. The problem is that there is another life in question, so I don’t have a viable solution. I just don’t want the Government involved in whatever that solution is.

You don’t have to be a scientist to know when a fertilized egg is a human because the answer is at conception. It’s settled science. It is life at conception under the scientific definition of life that gets applied to every other organism in existence.

The question is a political one; at what stage does a developing human deserve protection and equal rights?

No one knows where that line is. It’s completely subjective. But no one should put their trust in a Government at any level to make that determination. If the Government is too incompetent to buy a hammer efficiently, there’s no way on Earth that those mongrels are qualified to make a decision on something like abortion.

Science is theories and they change all the time. Science is hypothesis and then you set out to prove your hypothesis. It's never really set in stone. Yes there is a pure truth in there but Science is meant to be challenged. It's like Global warming, everyone just assumes it's true. But it's really just a theory.
