Nah. Still too much talent on the team for that to happen. And guys like Armstrong, Gallimore and Fowler can be replaced with reasonable facsimiles. But the point is to close the gap on elite teams like Frisco, and that's a pipe-dream at this point.

This is exactly the issue.

I don't agree with people who think that we are going to fall apart or tank or otherwise suck (unless there are major injuries).

But the way they've set up this offseason, it'd take a miracle to actually get better from last year.

They're going to force picks in the draft at positions to fill holes. They lost 2 OL starters so expect an OL in round 1. Expect a RB in round 2 or 3. Expect a DT or LB also in the top 3 rounds wherever they didn't take a RB. They don't have a 4th so after that they'll fill in their typical CB, extra OL, LB or DT whichever they didn't take earlier, special teams and project types after that, and then they'll think they covered everything and pat themselves on the back.

And if they're lucky they will more or less fill their major holes.

The problem with that is that best case scenario they're treading water and covering for what they've lost. But they aren't actually getting better when that's supposed to actually be the goal.

Their true needs that you'd want them to address like another playmaking wide receiver and another reliable pass rusher and upgrades at RT and DT are getting ignored because they are just plugging holes to keep the dam from breaking.

And then everyone will be wondering why darn it all we just can't seem to break through.

I think our realistic range at the moment is anywhere between 7-11 wins. If our draft class sucks and we have some injuries I could easily see a 8-9 type season, if it's a really strong class I could see 10-11.

I don't see any scenario where we're serious SB contenders unless we get a crazy run of luck.

Taco's "I promise to work hard" pledge should've been seen as a huge red flag. Thanks for nothing, Marinelli.
I believe that was fellow Marinelli shit draft pick Trysten Hill.

Yep. We are at that stage where irrational hope is somehow spun into the desire that it is actually the organization's strategy.

I do not recall many people hyping up washouts like Josh Ball or Matt Waletzko as potential starters when they did nothing their rookie year.

I actually like Fehoko as like your 5th DE, I could see him developing into an Armstrong type player by year 3 or 4. The problem is he's basically our 4th DE right now and 3rd if you don't include Parsons as a full time edge.

I don't think Fehoko will make it, hate to say it.

It's not like Zimmer was here last year to be like "yeah that guy is ready"

So it really is blind faith.
The real funny joke is Zimmer walking in here with the roster in his hand and going, "So, who can tell me about this Fehoko kid? As you know, I have been out of football for a few years, so what was the plan?" and see how many fucking blank stares he gets and how long the silence lasts.

Shit I heard Stephen not even know how to say Biadiasz. Imagine that, a fucking GM who doesn't even know what his starting centers last name is.

Except Asim Richards is actually going to be good.
