I don't know why he'd stir the hornets nest though.

Say you thought you should have played better that's fine.

But why say we should have put up 50? All that does is motivate the Eagles defense.
I disagree. The Eagles talk a lot of shit themselves.

Just last week AJ Brown was boldly telling everyone to just wait until Sunday night for the show he's going to put on. Then during the game he's talking shit to Gilmore. And their coach is the probably the biggest offender.

I'm glad we're throwing it back in their faces.

Yeah the last part about putting up 50 may have been a little too far. We are going to face the Eagles again potentially this year. You don't want that plastered up everywhere by their defense.
Their defense hasn't stopped a nosebleed all year. They don't have the horses to shut Dak up.

“It all starts with my confidence,” Prescott said from Texas 70 minutes after the game. “Where does the confidence come from? I credit for one the footwork of Mike McCarthy, the way that he’s been consistent in the footwork. I hit that back foot, and I’ve got the confidence to let it go because of the work we’ve put in in QB school going back to the offseason.
Hilarious to me that it took until year 8 for Dak to get rock solid coaching on his mechanics and that it's elevated him to one of the top MVP candidates.

It is kind of odd. But kudos to Tolzien I guess?

Agreed.

Also, I think this Cowboys team is legitimately confident and I love seeing it. This isn't the false bravado from before with the "Hot Boyz" and that other nonsense.

This Cowboys team is genuinely confident and they've been that way since the end of that last Eagles game.

I get not wanting to give your opponents anything to use as motivation, but it's been so long that we've seen a Cowboys team with real bravado and swagger that we forgot what it looked like. :lol

Remember how Jimmy predicted we would beat the 49ers in the NFCC? Imagine if that happened today? Everyone on this board would freak the hell out. :lol

But that's the thing -- when a team is genuinely confident and they KNOW they're better than their opponent, I don't have any issue with them expressing it because it's also a way of getting into their heads.

And the Cowboys knew they could get away with it back in the 90s because they knew that the 49ers knew that they couldn't beat them, and I think this team knows Philly can't beat them.

We're better than the Eagles right now and we're going to continue to be for the rest of this season.

Fuck those bums... And I hope the Cowboys confident ways continue.

Maybe not popular, but you have to give Stephen some credit, too. I still think he's the one who hit it off with Mike and convinced deddy to make the move. Remember how Garrett wasn't leaving the compound because it looked like Jerry was trying to talk himself into keeping him. :doh
Yea and supposedly Stephen is the one who refused to give Garrett any sort of extension after 2018 when we won the division and went to the divisional round where we lost to the Rams, presumably because he knew how we were "1 year up, 1 year down" for so long under Garrett and wanted to see him do it two years in a row.

Combine that with him empowering McClay and setting up a relatively sane front office and it's hard for me to complain too much about Stephen. The cheap shit in FA will always be annoying but we're still lightyears better than we were during Jerry's heyday.
