I didn't notice before that Adams took a swipe at and connected with Turd's facemask while they were jawing. Right in front of the ref. Interesting.
Seattle was doing it all game long. Their guys were constantly trying to get in our guys heads with cheap shots. Thankfully we didn't bite and we just kept playing. The Seattle defense clearly thinks of themselves as badass even though they were getting smoked.

I'm hoping most of what we saw from this defense last night was the result of that being the 3rd game in 11 days.

Could be a reason why the pass rush looked sluggish most of the night.
and for the finale, Parsons puts the exclamation point to close that shit out.

Can't remember who it was, but someone was right on top of the RB even if the pass was completed. That play was going nowhere.

Joked about it during the game, and usually I think trash talking is stupid and meaningless, but if they'd seen him in Micah's face in camp they'd have known this MFer DGAF. He might have some Kittle-style crazy in him.

So its a scheme where the offensive tackle will deliberately ignore the pass rusher lined up in front of him.

I think kind of like you see on a screen pass where they let Dlinemen go free so that they can throw it over them and have blocking set up. Problem is we blew it up and I think Micah got there a lot faster than they were counting on.

Also probably not a great call considering it's their last chance and a lot has to go right because they have really one option on the play based on how fast they have to execute it.

thus the genius of moving Parsons around the formation. You cant account for his point of launch.

Random Thoughts:

-For as much miscommunication as there was between Dak/Lamb last year in terms of option routes, Lamb not cutting across defenders faces and it leading to INT's and so forth, this season is a complete 180. They're almost always on the same page and the first TD last night was a good example, there wasn't much there but based on the coverage Dak threw to a spot, Lamb throttled down a bit anticipating it coming and made a great play.
-Cooks isn't putting up huge stats but he's making big plays. Only about 50 yards last night but he had a TD, the 2-point conversion and at least two third down conversions on his 4 catches (5 with the 2-point). Since the Chargers game when the offense started to turn the corner he's on pace for about 1000 yards and 12 TD's.
-Pollard looks nearly cooked, I'd give him something like 3/15 in the offseason to see if he can regain his form in more of a timeshare, and simply because he sets a solid floor at the position and we wouldn't have to stretch for a RB in the draft, but the guy isn't a lead back by any sense of the imagination.
-Kearse also looks kinda cooked, noticeably a half step slower which could be due to injuries, but he's clearly a guy you let walk in the offseason. Maybe you entertain bringing him back for like 2/7 for his leadership, versatility, depth, whatever, but there's a good chance Thomas is a better player next year.
-Steele is still very inconsistent and giving him help needs to be top of mind against pass rushes like the Eagles and 49ers.
-Fowler was quietly impactful despite his stupid ass offsides, he was maybe our most impactful edge rusher after Parsons in terms of getting to the QB and got good pressure on both of the last two drives of the game. Lawrence was obviously huge against the run.
-The underneath coverage was pretty spotty last night, gave up a lot of soft 5-7 yard hitches/curls and outs towards the sideline. I think that was a symptom of a lack of focus and getting fat on their press clippings, but something to keep an eye on since we know almost every offense we play is going to heavily lean on getting the ball out fast.
-Despite my bitching about Steele, it's great to have the starting 5 on the OL together for an extended stretch and it's showing in the offensive production. Dak has been amazing but like Romo said against the Skins, the OL is arguably the biggest key to all of it.
-I'm probably forgetting a big performance from Schultz at some point, but last night was a better performance out of Ferguson than anything I ever saw out of Schultz. Hard to say how much of it is the improved offensive design, but that's where we're at.

We pulled an "Eagles" last night where we pulled out a game where we struggled throughout.
