I know the blocking was bad, but you have to feel that and if it's even close, just throw it out of the back of the endzone. Do that and no problem, you have time to reset and you're still close enough (even after the false start) to hit a quick pass for the win. From the 20 or whatever it's 10x harder.
Sort of a euphemism for him being good enough to get us to the doorstep but not good enough to push us over the top.

He was awesome most of the game today but I agree, the very first priority there has to be avoiding a sack no matter the circumstances.

To be fair, a lot of our wins are blowouts. Not a lot of opportunities for game winning drives.

And that final drive today was not his fault.
Agreed with the blowouts. I just truly couldn’t remember the last late comeback win.

The recent fails, and comically at that, with Zeke at center and Dak’s failed ref spotting, just makes me wonder how composed we are in these tight situations. Ravens and Steelers are teams that come to mind that live in these 2 min cardiac situations and you don’t see them implode.

Seeing Turpin letting that punt bounce for another 10 yards on the last drive was infuriating.

We're a really good team, one of the best in the league, but they have to start stepping up in the biggest moments (i.e. 1st and goal on the 6 with 27 seconds to play). You can't have multiple cascading errors, from the stupid designed run that McCarthy called on 1st down that would've been equivalent to a sack, to the false start on Tyler at the exact same time, to Dak taking an idiotic sack that more or less ended the game on the very next play.

We can beat anybody anywhere (except SF seemingly) and can certainly win in the playoffs in Philly against their pass defense, but the team as a whole from the players to the coaches have to start sensing the moment and stepping up, as opposed to making stupid fucking errors when that time comes.

Like yea, the Eagles got extremely lucky on the 3 fumbles, they got a very favorable whistle that probably led to at least a 4, if not 7 point swing in their favor while we didn't get the benefit of many marginal calls, and we'll probably lay it on them pretty good in Dallas, but you have to be razor sharp in the biggest moments and the pathetic clown car sequence once we got down to the 6 will never cut it.
I am done with the what ifs.

This team blew it big fashion in a big game.

I have zero interest in wondering why either.

Dak played a great game. Not sure how you put this on him.
He played great until the game mattered at the end. That’s the worst part of it. No matter what happened throughout the game, our star QB had the ball in his hands to win this and he choked. The running out of bounds in the 2pt, til he high pass to Tolbert, the delay of game, and the dumbass decision to throw 5 yards short of the goaline with 5 seconds left. Just mind blowing stupid.

What’s crazy is that it’s becoming more common in the last three seasons. All you have to do it lol at the last 4 or 5 big games and Dak choked and made boneheaded decisions in all of them. What he had earlier in his career is lost and he has regressed badly.

Pulling a Pettiti, Dak Prescott needs help. The running game has been a huge disappointment and will be our downfall in January

Aside from Jake Ferguson getting involved as of late, it’s all Prescott and Lamb in the passing game and our role players haven’t done shit - Cooks, Gallup, Vaughn, Schoonmaker.
The Cooks fail is glaring.

I might give you the going out of bounds too early but that shit happens. Delay or Game is usually always on the coaching staff for not getting the play in soon enough. The high throw was a result of pressure allowed by the O line. I’m also not faulting him for throwing short of the end zone. No one was catching a ball in the end zone except Philly. He gave his receiver a chance to make a move and get in.

Nobody normally bashes Dak more than me but I’m handing it to him here. He had a good game. Not perfect but good. You can list five things that contributed to this loss and Dak wouldn’t be one of them.

Yep, throwing it into the end zone would have been the equivalent to a hail mary.

That pass to CeeDee probably had a higher chance at scoring than a throw into the end zone.

The only thing I would have done different is run some type of hook and ladder off of that play to see if you can catch them off guard.

Is it too early to declare the Mazi Smith pick a bad draft pick?

I was looking for him all night because matchups like this are why they drafted him. I didn't even notice him on the field on any of the big short yardage plays.

Remember when people were stupidly trying to argue that Cooks was as good as Cooper?

And the sad fact is the Eagles are better than us and generally have been for a long, long time.

Starting at the owner.
