Paulie - “With a name like Rock?”

Yes he did. RIPYep. He rocked that role.
I thought he was 83 back when the movie first came out in 1976.he nailed it as sad sack Paulie
Everyone looked older back then, probably due to smoking and no sun screen. Time served in the military could age a guy as well.I thought he was 83 back when the movie first came out in 1976.
So you are basically telling me he was 36 when that movie came out?
Perhaps you are right.Everyone looked older back then, probably due to smoking and no sun screen. Time served in the military could age a guy as well.

Old photographs really show that. And damn if the women mostly look like men.
When grandma was like 51 and looked like an 87 year old gangster.Old photographs really show that. And damn if the women mostly look like men.
Why should they edit that out?Was watching the original Longest Yard on Pluto, and they left all the N words in there. And not just the black guys saying it to each other, either. Kind of jarring. But it is good to see the original, I guess. Until now, I'd only seen that show on Saturday afternoon tv when it was all cleaned up.
Just thought that was kind of crazy in this day and age.
Not saying they should. I'm saying it's weird to hear that in a day and age when people lose their careers for reading that word off a page that was written by someone else, or singing the lyrics to a song they didn't write. Why should they edit that out?
I've seen a lot of modern movies with white actors still letting the N word fly.Not saying they should. Wow, really? I wasn't aware of that. But then I'm not a movie guy so I guess I wouldn't know.I've seen a lot of modern movies with white actors still letting the N word fly.
Nobody could play Kirk Lazurus today. It would not be allowed.I've seen a lot of modern movies with white actors still letting the N word fly.
I think most people are smart enough to understand that an actor saying it for a role is no big deal. Of course you're always going to have a few hypersensitive people that like to take things to the extreme, but that's the very small minority from what I've observed.
It's sort of like when the ultra-woke 'tards discovered that Robert Downey Jr played a black character in Tropic Thunder 15 years ago. They tried to raise a stink about it but most people just rolled their eyes at them and told them to STFU.
What happens first? A return of Kirk Lazarus or White Chicks 2?Nobody could play Kirk Lazurus today. It would not be allowed.
