If someone is applying for VA benefits for anything it must be service related. It doesn’t matter what it is nor does it become valid just because they were in the service at the time it was manifested, The claim must show that the service caused it. I know there are a lot of current and former veterans who think they were a contracted recipient by being in the service at the time of the problem but that alone doesn’t verify benefits. You must show that the complaint was caused by serving in the military and furnish evidence as such then it will be processed and a determination will be made as to authorized benefits. This can be done even after the service time but it must be attributable to the time that one served.
